Help i got a phone i can't connect. help.

SO here is the deal. as so many people do, I bought a phone off craigslist. The lg motion 4g. Now the phone is new and beautiful I have 2 already one for me and one for my wife and this one is for my kid. The problem is that now the company said it was a stolen phone and they can't connect it. is there any way around it? can I personally do something to go around this problem or is the phone lost forever in the land of wi fi usage?

And the reason you didn't call Metro when you were looking at the phone before you bought it to check the ESSN number with them BEOREHAND was???

Now, contact the seller, tell him you WILL get your money back or you will contact the Blue Meanies and give them his contact info for dealing in stolen property.

If you do decide to keep the phones, just let me know. I would like to buy the LCD digitizer off of you...

so. I take it there is no flashing or reflashing this phone. maybe resetting the imei? Is there anything at all that can be done with this phone at all? As for returning it. it wasn't like we met at his or my place. no phone numbers were exchanged all email. so i am pretty sure he isn't too scared of the blue meanies chasing him down for a 60 dollar phone.

Nothing can be done. The imei has been blacklisted by the metropcs. The only way to remove it woild be for the original owner to prove it that its theirs but that cant happen. You do know metropcs is having a promo for this phone buy a new one with a new account and activation the phone is $29 instead of $129. The only good that phone is now is to sell it for parts to someone who needs the parts or to just use it over wifi but its impossible for you to legally remove the blacklisting.

I would stop by the Blue Meanie donut emporium on my way home and fill out and get a copy of the police report.

Then I'd get the full email header with his ISP # and carrier. Then I'd forward the phone emails and police report to his ISP and mention that I was filling a complaint with our States Attorney re; the ISP aiding and abetting in the sale of stolen property.

Then I'd pray they jerked his internet coverage for dealing in stolen property.

Don't get mad.

Get even.

[LATE EDIT] and you know, probably add the very last line in the note to their IP, "and I'm sure you know, if they're selling stolen phones over your service, they're probably downloading stolen music, movies and kiddie porn too."

There. THAT should do it. :smokingsomb:
