getting really sick of this phones issues, only reason i did not send it in months ago is because i cant easily pull a sim card out and use a back up phone while this one is gone for maybe 2 weeks who knows.

do these evo V carry a 1yr htc warranty? i purchased mine off amazon in sept of last yr so its still under a year. how long can i expect to be without the phone if i send it in? will they actually fix it or just send it back if it works fine for them for a 10 minute test?

my phone randomly shuts off if dropped 1ft unto carpet, sometimes just does it in my pocket.

it randomly gets hot, i can feel the heat source is the chip/s to the left of the camera lenses on the back, at which time i notice 4g will not work and the battery starts to drain rapidly

it has overall very poor battery life, i think it should be a little better then this. i unplug it when i leave for work at 9am, its almost dead by 1pm of normal use (very few voice calls, some texting and emailing, very little web browsing. on a good day it lasts my entire work day and needs to be plugged in right when i get home at 6pm. this is if the above issue does not happen, if it does i can be without a phone as early as noon

You really should have sent it in long ago... It's obviously defective by what you describe. You'll have to contact either HTC or virgin to see how exactly they want to go about a fix/replacement.

Virgin Mobile is pretty much out of stock on these. They may offer a different phone as replacement. Not sure what htc would do ...repair or replace.

Just call virgin mobile and tell them the problems you're having with the phone and they will send you a replacement, and they will send you a prepaid envelope so you can return the phone you're having problems with.

seriously you think virgin will warranty my phone? i dont have there extra insurance.. also my headphone jack no longer works... what a lemon

Yes, they warranty all phones for a year, regardless of insurance. Call them, get to the Tech support department for troubleshooting. If they have refurb Evos you'll be offered one of those. When I called, they were out of stock, so they offered me a Victory instead.

Also, they will send the replacement first, then you send back the Defective phone in the envelope they include. You won't be without a phone.

awesome - im pretty sure i called them before a month or two ago and they wanted proof of when my phone was purchased like they wanted me to fax them my amazon order and i was like well screw it, then my headphone jack died, called them yesterday and it was pretty much "ok we are going to send you a new(refurb?) phone" :) they did say the evo was back ordered but the person said they were expecting more within 5 days and they will automatically send me one, but i should call them friday to make sure its been sent:confused: i think im glad they didnt offer me a victory if i remember they screen is slightly smaller and lower quality but it is LTE

They don't even go by when the phone was purchased but by when it's first activated for the warranty period.
