Storage shows 2GB pictures and videos, but fake

Hi, on my GT-N7100, android 4.1.2, when checking in system settings the Storage, it shows there is 2,21 GB pictures and videos on device memory ...
But there is not ... there are no pictures and videos ...

I even deleted manually all cache pictures in android/data/ folder i found ...
Still showing 2,21GB pics and videos ...

BUT ... when i check the internal memory thru my PC, there are correct values ... some 500MB used from the total 11GB ...

Is there anyone who can tell me where it comes from and how to get rid of that?
Many thanks

I'm having the same problem (Nexus 7, 4.2.2), and would love to know where the system thinks all those pictures & videos are hiding. Does it do a deep search into the data directories of all the apps? That would be misleading!

most cache pictures and videos are included in to the configuration. Because it finds stuff in cache its really not misleading just the understanding of what is actually there is not realized by the user. Most people think that if they search the internet then what they see is all the search contains but if you scroll down then you may find pictures and videos that are stored locally in cache to speed the process of showing these things. hopefully this helps clear things up

The cache data already has a separate cetegory on the storage usage graph, so including some of the cached data in another category as well would indeed be misleading.

I don't think that web browser cache is the issue here, though, because the usage number hasn't changed in weeks, despite heavy web use.

I don't think its all web browsing in fact it probably not web browsing at all I just used the example for simplicity. I have 2 main wall paper apps that I use both store cache the real question is does android see this as cache like we do or does it see it as pictures and videos like the program that stores it does?
