There's another new phone called the galaxy s ring looks like the s3 mini but different back which is a shame because so many accessories could have been compatible right off the bat. In terms of cases of course.
I saw the S3 in Best Buy today for the same price. Interestingly the store here no longer has a place holder or price tag for the Optimus Elite so maybe they are discontinuing it.
The S Ring looks like it would be a good upgrade from the Elite whenever it gets a discount on vm's site, until then the Victory is probably a better buy. Some places were mistakenly reporting it having a quad core cpu but it is only a single.

I was in the Sprint store recently and they're not carrying the elite either.
I'd love to switch to that but the Elite is the best phone you can get with the $25/month plan
So true, an extra $120 a year + the cost of a new phone seems like too much.
Edit: Also no LTE or even WiMax in my area.....
