Root Phone powered off and will not power back on? Help.

Was changing phone and texting and phone powered off and will not power back on. Actually it is my daughter's phone. Help or guidance to another thread. Searched All things root for a topic. No luck.
 
By pressing vol+, vol-, and power at same time does it go into download mode? If you're not getting any kind of response from charging, download mode, or hard reset then I'd say something is wrong with the actual phone and call 1 888-863-8768 or go to metro. Tell them the phone won't turn back on for some odd reason. If you're under 30 days it's a free replacement if it's under insurance you pay a small deductible

So its not under the year manufacturers warranty. Metro doesn't do that anymore, the phone is 8 months old.
Will try when my daughter gets out of church.

Took to Metro and they said a virus from INSTAGRAM may of caused it. When INSTAGRAM updated over the weekend. Had for less than a year so there going to replace it for $30 today or $15 in 2 days. It's my daughter so 2 days it is lol. Pass the word

I'm not doubting you, but this is hard for me to believe. I have a feeling the person who told you that just made it up.

I took it to a repair store first and they mentioned it to me. The guy said he had a couple come in his store this weekend. When i got to the corporate store I didn't mention anything about the virus until they to me it was a software problem so I mentioned it to the lady after she wrote me up for a replacement then she said that it was probably the INSTAGRAM virus. My daughter was updating to the new video version of INSTAGRAM when the phone crashed. That's my story. Lol
