Has the S4 UK just upgraded itself?

I've just rebooted my S4 this morning because it wasn't connecting to the mobile network. After the reboot, my lock screen had reset to the default Samsung screen and not my own picture and the Facebook app needed the password and sync settings re-entering.

Thing is, I don't know what version I was on before. It says the current version is: 4.2.2.

I'm assuming not, it's just strange behavior...

You would have been asked to update the firmware of the phone if there was an update, 4.2.2 is version of the OS before the next pending update (which should hopefully arrive soon)

TOP TIP: For any owner, is to enter... *#1234# into the dial pad. This will display the, "Version", screen with 3 lines of information... not least of which is your CSC: = Consumer Software Customisation code. This is very useful for determining updates and if you ever need to re-flash your stock firmware yourself. Keep it somewhere safe. ;)
