Mine says the same. I wish it would just say 'awaiting phone availablility' instead of both. I chose 'bill my account', there is no reason for them to have to 'approve' me, I've been a good standing customer for 10+years but it still bugs me. I may call in a day or so to make sure they arent going to give me any problems..Has anyone else done 'bill me' and have you had any problems?? Will they contact you if they dont 'approve' of billing you?

I think its just a system generic message and doesnt really mean approve you, just means waiting on phone availability. It seems that all of us get the same message as you when checking order status. I put a credit card in for payment also, I did NOT choose bill my account.:)

I paid with a bank/credit card. No charge yet.

I too used a credit card to pay instead of 'bill me'. I think we should take a few deep breaths and relax. We're just freaking out over an ambiguous status message. We've waited, how many months, for this phone? Now that we've gotten a taste for incredible blood we've gone incredibly crazy. Only a week and two days left people! We can do this!!
 
I asked the forum a similar question and have done some independent research on my own. From what I've found and been told, HTC's Sense adds functionality over stock Android 2.1. I was looking specifically at Exchange support, and it appears that the Incredible will sync email, contacts, and calendar (calendar added over stock Android). In addition, certain frustrations with the Droid (i.e., being able to accept/reject meeting invites within a corporate, Exchange email) have been resolved. The two (2) things I specifically was concerned with were the in-email meeting options and access to the global address list (GAL), and both of these are taken care of by using Sense.

NOTE: I have not independently confirmed these, however, and I am not sure what other functionality you may be looking for. But, know that if any android phone will offer the business-centric options you need, it would appear that the Incredible is at the top of that list.

apang's comment earlier about Touchdown is the other option, but it's $10 (a businessy guy/gal like you shouldn't have any trouble writing that off on yer taxes, though ;)). Touchdown's website shows a long list of its features.

Hope this helps. If you get any new/better information or sources, I'd appreciate knowing too.

Interesting info. What about the need to pay an extra $15/month for the Corp Email service. They conveniently changed it from Blackberry Email service to Corpo email service. is this necessary w the DI? or is it just Verizon trying to milk us out of more $$$. My company would be paying this anyway, but I do not like spending money on things that are not necessary
 
Walked into my local VW store that I use last night (Midlothian, VA) and talked to a sales rep. Told her I was waiting on the Incredible, when would they have it in stock, and could they hold one for me to pick up on the 29th.
She told me to call her Monday (26th) and she could put one on hold for me to pick up Thursday morning .
I walked over and noticed the Droid had 2.1 updated, mentioned something about it, and she said, yes it's been updated but the Incredible was soooooooooooooo much faster.
Walked out really excited. :D

I'm in Midlothian too. Where are you located over here?

Actually, what's bugging me is the number of people (several last night) claiming that they got shipment notices yesterday, with scheduled delivery today. I've been a Verizon customer for many years, I'll be a bit miffed if others are getting theirs while Verizon keeps me waiting.

I bet those orders will be held at the shipping terminal until the 29th

Either that or those people unfortunately will be the not-so-proud owners of new Moto Droids. :(

I chose "bill to my account" as well. I've billed every phone I've gotten in the last several years to my account, so I can't imagine it's an approval thing.

Maybe, well I've checked the status of my package and its sitting in my local sorting facility, still on for a delivery today by or before 3pm.

We'll see whats waiting for me lol
 
So I pre-ordered mine yesterday. Verizon pre-noted my account for $1.00, that transaction is still pending. I am guessing it will go through tonight. When I track my order it says the same as everybody else.
 
just got to work...FedEx has delivered...and inside...here's where i tear up...was my effin Incredible...

I'm soooooo happy....what's become of my life?

If someone can tell me how to copy a jpeg into this damned box, I'll post a pic...

pics pics pics and a review! and also how did you get it so early? lol
