Quick root software not working not connecting to ABD server

Hi guys

I tried rooting my I9100phone. But it wont work.

Using Odin, I changed my kernel on my S2 to GT-I9100_XWKI8_insecure, which matches the model I am using.

The next stage was to restart my phone and get it back to downloading Mode, whilst being in USB debugged mode.
However I downloaded Quick root 1.8.3 software from XDA website. But it doesn't seem to detect my phone... all it says is please wait while your device connects with the ABD server. BU under it says device not connected!

So how can I overcome this obstacle??

GT-I9100_XWKI8 insecure kernel is for rooting the Gingerbread, Android 2.3.*, firmware that uses that particular kernel only and for no other version of Gingerbread or any other version of Android such as ICS or Jelly Bean. Doing so can brick your phone! :ahhhhh:
