I kinda doubt you wont ever use the kick stand, it has a ton of usages. Well it is atleast one of my fav feature.

Too bad the dell lightning is running win pho 7, I heard that microsoft is really locking down their new os kinda like apple. I have used winmo 6.1 and 6.5 and I love how it is open source with tons of 3rd party apps. But their UI is really outdated, so Im switching to Android as soon as this big black beast EVO comes out. Other then that the dell lightning looks dope as hell.

That's a good idea someone should call CC and act like an employee and check up on the black out time frame to see if we can confirm if they are doing the same thing. hmmm I would but I am to lazy right now...thank you bill!
i'm going on what the manager at my local store told me (here in chicago). said they don't have official word but it's pretty well accepted that it will be june 6. he said it makes sense because sprint has put black-out days on employees so they can't take that sunday or any of the days through the 10th off.
i'm not one to feed an overly active rumor mill and i know this post does that to some extent, but it's from a credible source and has something tangible behind it. we'll see!

Uhhh my palm pilot from 1997 can do that, as can my windows mobile phone from 3 years ago. Great feature.

Well, thats your opinion, and your liking of the feature.
I'm just saying, especially with sense homescreens not going to landscape, that I will hardly ever use it.
maybe they worked in some uses/features to entice more use of the kickstand than just watching videos

Well I got little kids. I can prop this up on my desk and show them barney or something. You know when you get this phone you going to show it off, so why not prop it up on a table and show your friends your latest youtube video. Trying to take a pic or video without camera shake pop out the stand. And if you want horizontal home screen just down load the Cyanogen rom showed in the following link.

OMG...WOW...good job Steve!! I guess considering the amount of people that don't want to relinquish their rights to view whatever content they feel they are paying to view on their own device should use Android, well I just see this as another nail in the coffin for Apple. Shesh, I can't imagine this being a smart move these days; putting limitations like that on a service that consumers are paying for, where they should receive unrestricted access to view what they please.

I think Steve and Apple are getting a little too cocky.. They keep saying that and more people will switch to Android! The Evo and the Incredible are great phones too!
Yeah, I'd love a case that covers up the kickstand too. I don't anticipate on using it all that much, and it would make the phone a lot easier to take in and out of pockets... and also without lint, dust, gunk getting stuck in the crevices.
