TS: an unrelated topic but do you know anything about the instability of the forums and if anything is being done to remedy this?

Ignore anything from Ozcar. They just repost every rumor they find like a tabloid.
 
Hey guys I haven't been on in a few days, what news is there to report. My last page I read was in the 70's and you guys are on 104; impressive.

On another note, I just got back from a Government/Law Enforcement Technology Conference and to my amazement there was a Sprint/Nextel booth. Well the Sprint Vendors were promoting the 4G network, some cell phones, and the 4G Overdrive mobile hot spot. What made this an excellent experience was the vendor told me the release date for the EVO from Sprint.com and Sprint store was June 13, 2010. He also tried to explain the pricing for the EVO saying that will all "applicable" rebates the EVO would cost around $200-$250.

Now I hope that what he told me is correct, and I hope that I'm not posting old info but this just made my day.
 
Not to bring the news down, but if he said the 13th, he should know the EXACT pricing of the phone if he knows the EXACT date of release.

Just my opinion however.
 
I'll still go to Best Buy instead of my local sprint store to get my evo unless ofcourse I win it. I did get that email from sprint. So we shall see. Keeping my fingers crossed LOL
 
Hey Community! That guy on fb was not me. haha i'm in college, that other poor Jackson kid is probs getting beat up somewhere right now. Kinda sad.

Anywho, i like to look at what happened as a great test for us as a community. We all stuck strong and backed each other. I appreciate all your kind words, and i have a spot in my heart for you more than i ever thought before. It's been a little crazy for me lately, lots of stuff going on, but coming on here makes me happy because all of you are SOOO great!

On a side note it's nice to hear everything captain 008 just verified. I have been saying June 13th and taht $200-$250 price range for about a month and its great to hear someone else saying the same numbers that i have heard over at sprint. With more and more leaks coming out every day, and the event where NY will get 4G on May 12th which is also the day FROYO is to be released we have a quite awesome path ahead of us. Let's embark on the rest of our journey, together as the Sprint HTC Evo4G community always has!!!

and at that let's do it SUPERSONINCALLY!!!

For some reason when I was talking with him he made it very clear that with "rebates" it could be in that price range. He would not tell me a price with out rebates.

one of the admins informed me the other day, that we are getting new servers to handle the load. Between the incredible thread and soon to be our thread, its bringing the house down and causing a meltdown. The Roof, the Roof The Roof is on fire. lol

So hopefully by end of next week, we should be okay. Unless we do like Sprint and push back the date. LMAO (sorry had to put that in there)

Maybe the two of you can PM each other. Some seem to think the date is June 6th, but our questions should be answered after the extravaganza is held in NYC on May 12th.

Well I think the June 6th is for secondary retail channels like Best Buy and Crab...er...Radio Shack who will be taking preorders after the launch party.

Nah, not a big deal really. I just think that if there's an exact date, there's an exact price.
