Root [ROM] DroidSmith_Force - Beta

So what the heck is it anyway?

I wish I could tell you. I removed it from my phone and have not had any adverse effects. I did not look into what it does any further than that. My guess would be that it is similar to the sdloger that was on boost/sprint gingerbread builds. Which was effectively spyware.

Do you guys want to see an updated ICS Droidsmith, or would you guys rather I tear into the jellybean update when it drops?

I agree, wait for Jellybean. Boost Mobile already lists the Force as having Android 4.1 on their site. The update will probably be rolling out in a few days.

I see no adverse effects by freezing sdcardchameleon, but no improvement in memory and not really sure if there's any noticeable improvement. Either way, if it doesn't break anything and I don't need it, I think I'd rather uninstall it.

Once jb is pushed we will need to start requesting that ZTE release the kernel source. We could mod the avid source for ICS, but job uses kernel 3.4. I've seen older kernels running back ports on jb, but nothing is better than having the correct sources.

We could drown them in e-mails requesting the kernel source. Though, I have heard that their past kernel sources had issues which is why they pulled them. Never know until you try, though.

Version 0.3.5 is up. init.d is now enabled in the kernels ramdisk as it should be. I have also added an init.d script so that both cpu cores are running at the same time. MiFiles has been added as a root file browser. Let me know what you think

So you make a backup, wipe/factory reset, install zip, then use an app called nandroid manager to restore my apps?
