Well, this isn't really "news" and I know quite a few people don't really buy into this blog/website, but I thought it was pretty funny nontheless:

Another hint... at least I took it that was was the end date for entries to the EVO event. All entries are to be in by May 9th.... Maybe a winner would be announced?!?! Maybe We see a May release, or maybe I'm reading way to much into things simply because I want the EVO... You decide.

What you may want to do is go to your local T-Mobile store and play around with an HD2 which is Sense over top Windows Mobile. There are some big similarities that will give you an idea of what you'll be working with except the HD2 lacks multitouch from what I've gathered.

I wouldnt' get your hopes up about that early of a release. Everyone in this thread (for the most part) is itching to get their own EVO, but better to expect June 6 or 13. If an "early" release happens in May, then it'll be a very good surprise and you'll be able to swoop up the device earlier than anticipated.

Weird how this event is the day BEFORE Sprint is supposed to give notice to the winners of its contest.

But atleast it is another bright spot for Sprint and the EVO.

Be hilarious if someone somehow recorded the private screening of Prince Of Persia with an EVO, and next thing we know there is a bootleg copy of it in 720p the next week.

Not close IMO, WinMo isn't great and I'd say you'd gather more just looking at the device and picking it up, admiring the screen and NOT going through the OS.

You want to get a feel for the OS, go play with a Hero.

WM with Sense on an HTC device has always been a pretty decent experience for me. I've played with an HD2 and it is a gorgeous phone. Can't wait for an Evo.

Even though many people may not buy into the blog/website... i think this is a legit fact and Sprint could have some concern especially with the decline vzw posted in their Q1.. A verizon iPhone would seriously steal attention from the EVO because the media would only report Verizon and iPhone for months :(

Out of curiosity, I decided to open a new browser and type up the same URL that it shows in the screencap and it ended up being the legit developer website:

I don't think I've ever found this going directly from the Sprint website, but thought I'd share the information, since there are a bunch of tabs related to the EVO.

The Sprint developer site lists the cameras as "8MB" and "1.3MB". That is nonsense.

I was just on Sprint double checking my eligibility since then change my primary number around a few times when I added new lines. I am indeed eligible for the full upgrade when the EVO comes out. I do find it interesting that is says the program expires June 6, 2010. I have never seen that before when checking upgrade eligibility.

No. They are MP, megapixels. NOT MB, megabytes. It's a typo, but a pretty egregious one for developers. Cameras are not measured in megabytes.

THIS is why we need the Evo to release ASAP. Make sure it gets all of the attention it deserves. Sprint would be silly to put the release date on this thing anywhere near the iPhone's release date. iSheep buy into Apple's marketing hype, and could hurt this phone's sales.

I don't really blame anyone because I'm sure I'm guilty of going off-topic as well, but I do believe if certain topics keep being repeated (such as the insurance matters earlier on or all the sports talk), they should probably go to their own thread.

I remember not that even that long ago, there'd be maybe 2-3 pages a day if even, I mean I enjoy reading a majority of the posts here, but when it takes hours to trudge it all, it's kinda rough XD.

Just a week or two ago there weren't nearly as many people in this thread as there are now. Along with an influx of people comes an increase in chatter. I agree with TS when he says there's too much talk about sports and other off-topic discussions that make it difficult to wade through all the posts. Therefore, it would be best if we stay on topic as much as possible.

On slow news days, it seems to be even harder to not wonder, but I'm happy with our group. Most everyone seems happy and the fighting and bickering is almost non-existent, so I want to thank each and every one of your for your contributions.

I think he was trying to point out that the terms were not used . MB is not used for camera terms. "MP" is the correct term . the letter B is nowhere close to the letter P on the keyboard.
 
Hey Polkdots, if you peeking in on this then yea I guess I was right and came to a conclusion that it is good to condition the battery even with the batteries we use today : http://androidforums.com/htc-incred...e-official-htc-incredible-battery-thread.html

oh and good tip would benefit best if you ordered the phone and charged fully and additional 2-3 hours when you notice the green light because it's not actually 100% just yet . goes into a trickle mode. but reason you would be better off ordering it is because the phone wont be turned on yet and when you by it from the store they usually turn it on for you and do this and that and they use it . so turn it off right after if you get it from the sprint store or best buy or anything other then ordering it and charge it fully then use until dead then charge until fully again using USB to pc . do that a few times until the battery is dead and charge fully after then it's conditioned . after that use and charge when needed . BATTERIES ARE JUST BIGGER NOW BUT STILL REQUIRE THE CYCLE AND CONDITION TREATMENT IF YOU WANT THE BEST OUT OF YOUR PHONE LIFE WISE. AND STILL THE TASK RUNNING AND ETC CONTRIBUTES WE ALL KNOW . SO LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR PHONE . there is always the 3200maH .
 
Is it a mini-usb to hdmi cable that will connect the EVO to hdmi on a tv? Also, I'm hoping to use slingbox to watch tv on the EVO...anybody know if there is a Sling app in the android marketplace?
