Root [Boost Mobile] ODIN Backup for --> SPH-L710_MD7 stock

hmmmmmm.... are you using the ota update link i posted or one thats being pushed to your phone?

can you install OTA Verifier (beta) and tell me what it says?
.

I tried updating it both ways.

as for OTA Verifier
both pushed and downloaded update say the same

==================
Detailed Analysis
==================
- you have 1 frozen system apps; this may (but not necessarily) impact the ability of the OTA's updater-script to update these apps and cause the OTA install to fail
- there were 2 failed expressions; see below for the details about these tests that will cause your OTA install to fail
- there were 4 bypassed expressions; these are likely due to protected/secured items that this app cannot access and therefore cannot evaluate to determine how they might impact the success of the OTA's installation

the frozen app is easy, use titanium backup and unfreeze it... i dont know why it keeps freezing, i had the problem a couple of time with that app being frozen too...

BYPASSED: line #812: is the boot.img... its not matching what the update wants.. this might be able to be fixed by trying different ones...

BYPASSED: line #810: is your modem... its not matching what the update wants.. how did you change that?

for the boot.img you can try a advanced restore from cwm and only restor boot
as for the modem i can give you a copy of mine, i just hope its not device specific

Thanks for all your help, but I'm done. I give up. I restored it with Kies and going to leave it that way. Maybe the next big update 4.2 or 4.3 will work if they ever get here.

then download my modem.bin
Extract the 7-Zip file
move the modem.bin to your sdcard
then push it to you phone
[HIGH]dd if=/mnt/extSdCard/modem.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1[/HIGH]reboot, goodluck

were you able to pull the file one from your phone (the first command)?
you are rooted right? you will need to be rooted to push the file to your phone...

O... i see i put a shortcut in the simpleADB.zip instead of the actual .exe file... lol my bad...
re-download and try again
however it should have worked in terminal emulator

But its good for everyone...
:thrasher::car::rock:

ok one more time from the top...

for ADB:
download [root] adbd Insecure
download simplified adb - and unzip
download my modem.bin - Extract the 7-Zip file

reboot your phone (just for the heck of ot)
once rebooted open the adbd app and enable insecure adbd
wait 10 seconds
connect your phone too USB
on desktop go into the simplifiedADB folder
run cmd.exe
type: adb shell
type: su
type: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/mnt/extSdCard/modem.bin

check to see if you have a new file on your sdcard - modem.bin
if so move it to your computer and copy my modem file to your sdcard

type: dd if=/mnt/extSdCard/modem.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1

if that worked reboot and all should be good.
for terminal emulator:
download [root] adbd Insecure
download my modem.bin - Extract the 7-Zip file

reboot your phone (just for the heck of ot)
once rebooted open the adbd app and enable insecure adbd
wait 10 seconds
from termanle emulaor
type: su
type: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/mnt/extSdCard/modem.bin

check to see if you have a new file on your sdcard - modem.bin
if so move it to your computer and copy my modem file to your sdcard

type: dd if=/mnt/extSdCard/modem.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1

if that worked reboot and all should be good.
once again good luck:D
