New phone Huawei Valient now on Metropcs website

Would someone really get that instead of pushing another 20 for an F3
or L9

why are they releasing all this "new garbage" I get the difference between S3 and F3 it's $250 of difference, but 50-70 bucks? and It's not like one is 400 and another one 470.

1.0GHz Dual-Core Processor MSM8225

800x480 W/Gorilla Glass 2

RAM: 768MB

I think metro is just trying to see are their customers using their brains. And the ones that are just can't afford a better phone. Come on now 3 megapixels?

But at least we can buy sim cards of the website though. I guess that means we don't have to go in stores to activate them.

Yes, some people dont know anything about specs, dual core?..some people just want a phone that works good enough to use, example my aunt she doest even look at the internet so she doest care anything about 4G or understand what it is lol most people are not tech savy for us is a "wacky" phone but for them its a big touch screen phone with a camera that they could also check stuff out in the internet if they want to.

Im happy to see metro was actually able to deliver on on their goal of $100 4G phones, when they announce thats what they were aiming for, i was really skeptic lol but Metro did it, very nice job imo. these cheaper phones will get people switching to GSM for sure

What about the motion and spirit that's a total rip off.

its only a rip off to people who dont do any research on teh devices they drop a bunch of money on. so many metropcs lg phones never get upgraded (they get updates but not upgrades, there is a difference).

I know but it seems like this is saturating the market even more instead of providing awesome customer service.

You Motion and Spirit peeps do have Loki, 99.999% functioning CM10... From what I've seen of the L9/F3, the stock LG Jellybean UI looks almost the same as the ugly stock 4.0.3 UI from your phones. I don't think you're missing much there. You guys certainly have way more to brag about over the Premia/Connect :)

And yeah LOL.... a 1GHz DC shitbox that gets Jellybean, SMH. Here I am with 2 older yet much stronger phones that will never see anything above 4.0.3 :D

Thanks a lot Huawei!!

Will the Premia ever see jellybean you think?

Doubtful. A Jellybean update was supposedly announced for the phone right after it's initial sale but they quickly snuffed that :D

Not enough people buying this device, not a lot of Dev interest either. It's a good thing that this phone is pretty decent OTB... ;)

And there is nothing valiant about this new Huawei LOL... They took a HUGE step backwards here!!

you make it sound like there is so many working on metropcs stuff :P

the lg ones have a lot going on, but not a whole lot of development. really and truily you wnat development on a metropcs phone the sgs3 and sgs4 are your only hopes.

I only want development when a phone is a complete POS out of the box, like the Connect. I was perfectly content with the Premia OTB, but then the streaming audio issues came along, and flashing a custom ROM only staves it off for a week or so. If only it were something else; I can't stand choppy Pandora!!!!!

If Nex4 is bloat free, streams music nicely and plays Ultra super HD videos, I'll love it forever. I won't even root it. My Motion is still a virgin cuz it does so well running OTB stock!

I would 100% agree with you if they did not release Nokia, L9 and F3. I think Metro can do a little better than that for $79 if they want people switch to GSM they need to try a little harder.

AF users often wonder why Metro PCS is selling those cheap phones but you would suprise how well those are selling.

I have few friends who own authorized metro pcs stores (one owns 4 stores another owns 3 stores), they tell me those Huawei phones are actually selling pretty well. Why people buy them? Because they are cheap!

For AF readers like us, who compares specs and get opinions from previous users, it makes sense to spend some more and go for (arguably) better phones.

But those who just walk into store, who has tight budget price can be the only decision factor.

PS1.
Just for the side note, they told me the Nokia Lumia 521 (windows phone) is selling pretty well too.

PS2.
Sorry if my tone sounds like bashing Huawei phones. I never used it so I have no grudge against them at all, just trying to tell my opinions here :)

Just to be fair, metro is doing pretty well considering just 3 years ago they sold androids where the cpu would fry in 3 months.
