TS Edit:
Placing all speed test posts from the EVO thread into this new thread.

Original post is as follows....

Most of the northeast areas will be lit up and operational by June early July

This one is being worked on the upload is more important for them. it needs to be in the 3+ range

I got a pool going on the 22nd..
Thanks for all the speed test results. Don't see where you actually posted a poll, however.

Now, let me see if I have this right; you think the EVO 4G is going to drop on May 22nd? It's funny, because Self Praise mentioned that same date, but he left before I could verify it.

Obviously you're connected to the WiMAX build-out somehow, so maybe you know something the rest of us don't??

yeah maybe Sprint wants to make sure that all of the maximum possible markets are all set up for 4G on the EVO launch to get the maximum marketing exposure. maybe Hesse said -

"We can't do the big official EVO Launch until NYC, X City, Y City, and Z City are absolutely 4G ready. This launch is not just about the EVO - it's about marketing our SUPERIOR 4G network and we must use the EVO as the showpiece to demonstrate the speed and superiority of our network in the maximum number of cities possible given our planned launch timeline. Our 4G is our key differentiator and we can't F this thing up. We need to get the maximum bang for the buck from this launch."

I can ping towers in our system. Then I have to log off and ping them in speed test to show here.

The upload and download speed allows me to give a rumored guesstimate at availabilty.. I think most of the ones I posted will be online in 30-45 days.

These are rumored dates of course.

What about Findlay Ohio or even Toledo?

also another rumor.

A city may come online but not show up for public consumption..

The states government, colleges etc may have dibs on the service first, if the contract is large enough before the public gets it.. The purchase volume of that state makes a difference.

This is rumor of course

I think June dates where given because they did not think wimax roll outs would be as far along as they are.. But that is just rumor of course..

Kinda like a cushion in case 4g roll out dead lines where not met. This is me guessing of course.
