Are magnetic closure cases bad for note 3?

Hey guys im wondering are magnetic closing cases bad for the note 3? I just bought this leather pouch case that has a magnetic closure its awesome cause it fits my note 3 even with a silicone gel case over it perfect. Some people saying the magnets can interfere with the phone?

Depends on how strong the magnet is. Since its an enclosure and not a case, it should be fine. The reason magnets are not good is because of the interference it can cause with the electromagnetic field the Note screen generates when in use with the S Pen.

Someone demonstrated this interference using the S Pen. The the user drew straight lines until it began to distort and the straight lines began to bend/curve. This distortion occurred at the point where the magnet was placed on the back of the Note. However really weak magnets seem to have no effect on it.

I have a Note 10.1 that has 2 very weak magnets in the corners to keep the lid closed over the screen. When folded back to use the Note 10.1, it still works without any issue to date.

It will not cause any permanent damage. It would just be temporary issues due to a electromagnetic interference. Give it a try and report back.

yea i just use this case to keep my phone safe in cause its too big to put in my pocket so i like to keep the phone secure in something on the side of my pants and i dont use the phone at all when its inside just when i take it out so that shouldnt interfere at all.
