Damn note 3 only has 1/2 Sym the note 2 had 1/3 for text messaging?

I noticed the note 2 only has 1/2 Sym in text messaging but my note 3 had 1/3 and the third was smileys damn i hope an update will bring that back!

When your typing in Messaging hit Menu to insert smileys. They have a list of 21 you can use. SAme goes for Google Keyboard as well.

yea i know about that just saying it was easier to hit a button in the keyboard quickly.

There's another button on the keyboard for the smileys.

Not sure about your phone? I have a AT&T Note 3.

Must be a Global version thing. On my US t-mobile version there is a microphone there. If I long press the mic I get a popup with those other smiley options though. You taught me something there Simon.

Yeah, I have a mic there too. Tmo-US version. What I did notice though is that it depends on what app I'm using. I could get them to come up if I long press the mic in the stock messaging app but not it GVoice. Turns out, it send these as MMS. I also wasn't able to send them to my friend on AT&T that uses an iPhone.
