God help me, I think I want the white one!

So I finally went into our local BB (Best Buy) yesterday and got a chance to play with a Note 3. There were no surprises since there has been so many reviews all over the web and, of course, here from you lucky people that got yours so quickly.

I've been on the fence as to whether to upgrade to the Note 3 (from my current Razr Maxx HD) or go the less expensive route of a Note 2 and wait to see how the Note 3 does in mass use - you know, work the bugs out on someone elses dime. But after playing with it yesterday I think I'll throw caution to the wind and grab a Note 3 just as soon as Verizon actually has them in the store.

I was planning on getting the black one. I always get black. I prefer black. Most all of you that I have seen talk about yours has black. But after seeing both yesterday, I find I actually seem to be drawn to the white model. I really don't know why. But there was something just kind of... classy about it.

Who out there has the white and do you like it? Did the same thing happen to you? Were you initially going black but changed to white after seeing it? And if so, do you now regret it?
 
I am thinking about picking up a white Note III - if I do the upgrade. I am tired of dark colored phones and want something a little different this time :) I am still on the fence if I want to upgrade my Note II
 
Ewwww white will show every smug from your fingers and kids fingers after munchn on them cheese curls . Or if you a grease monkey like me dammm there goes another dark grease spot that may not come off .ijs
 
I went white....then called, cancelled, and ordered black.

My wife has a white S3. Looks nice but probably better suited for a female.
 
What's with all the color discrimination? White phone = girly? Who cares what color the device is!?

Get the color of your choice because you like it, not because you fear someone will question your sexuality because your opted for a lighter or softer color device or because of screen size.

I went with black Note 3 only because I think the colors pop better and because I will be watching a lot of movies and shows on it, and I think the white will distract me a little.

But I'm going with a white 2014 Note 10.1, since all I do is surf the web and study on it. White looks classy for that sort of thing.
 
It was hard for me to make up my mind but I ended up getting black. They both look so sharp I wish I could get one of each...Lol
 
I got the black one but honestly wish I got the white one....it does look better in MY opinion.....but in the long run I think the black one will hold up better to the elements...user preferences
 
I purchased a white Note 1 - and I loved the way it looked. Everyone was curious what phone I had.

I just received my black Note 3 - I wanted something "different".

I would get the white if you want something different.

The color does not show dirt, smudges, etc... especially if you have a protective case.
 
I was sort of in your shoes when I pre-ordered during the big "keep your unlimited glitch" deal with Verizon to keep my unlimited status a few weekends ago. That was the ONLY reason I pre-orderd! Anyway I pulled the trigger on the white one.

I wanted something different I have a titanium Note 2 I've already sold (at a great price) to my girlfriend though I normally put case on it. I like that color as well. I had a white S3 before that and I was okay with that too.

Also I saw the white Note 3 at AT&T on Sat and it looked really good! AMOF it looked so good that I'm contemplating going naked. I may leave my phone naked from time to time as well actually! :) Seriously I don't thing you can go wrong with either color though. Good luck!

This is my biggest fear - that I'll get sick of it! I admit that I while I liked the front white of the Note 2 I didn't care for the white plastic back. But with the white Note 3 the back is not as 'bright', more subdued no doubt due to the textured faux leather back. And if you look closely at the front it's got a small pattern detail to it up close.

Besides, if I get really sick of the white back (or it get's dirty) a case quickly takes care of that. But if I get sick of the front white... well, that's a different story!

There is always black (or other colored) electrical tape should the color you picked gets on your nerves after a while :p

I really wanted the white Note 2 since the day I first saw it and I got it. My previous phones before that were a black iPhone 4 and a black GS2 so I wanted something different too and I actually liked the white. After awhile I longed to have the titanium gray Note 2 and then felt regret for getting it white. I'm definitely going black now with the Note 3 and I just can't see White as appealing to me anymore for some strange reason.

Exactly, I dont see many white frame televisions around for that reason.
 
Or a work around, black note 3 with a white & black s view or flip cover :)
Here a have the black note 3 with the white s view cover and when availably the black s view cover also.
And maybe the orange one for as I go to football :D
 
I really really really want the pink one but that doesn't look like it's happening. I ordered the black and then cancelled and ordered the white. I have the white note 2 and I do like the white. I ordered the grey gear not sure I that choice either.
 
The white one I seen at the Best Buy I went to (the actual phone they were using for demo, not the display model) had scuff marks all over the part of the back that curves.

It looks great but don't think it would after a month of continual use. Unless you washed your hands before you touched it every time and only placed it on clean surfaces.

This is a good point and that textured back is going to definitely be a dirt/stain magnate. But I plan on putting it in a minimal case anyway. Since the pretty side trim is actually just plastic, any drop is going to ding it up pretty bad, as one poster in another thread put up today. I'm liking the Spigen Neo/Hybrid models with the satin gold trim. I think that would look good with either the black or the white face models. Here's a link to it:

I'm not worried about the back. I'm sure I'll change covers a couple times. I just don't want to get tired of the white face. When I had my iPhone I had the black one because I thought the white one looked dumb, but I just bought my wife a new iPhone 4 (white - all they had) because they were blowing them out for $.99 and it actually looks not bad.

I'm heading to Verizon tomorrow as they are supposed to be in. It will be interesting to see what I walk away with. Still leaning towards white.
 
I like both white and black. White looks classier and doesn't show fingerprints as much, while black seems to hold up better against dirt/grime and makes the screen colors pop better (IMO).

So I'm getting a black N3 (my daily beast) and a white Note 10.1 (not as much use).

They're both going in cases though, so I guess it doesn't matter!

I called my local store today and played dumb, asking when they would have the Note 3 available and they said tomorrow. I'm going to call again before I go just to make sure!
 
I found an article on android authority or gottabemobile that said Vzw stores will have stock tomorrow.

Has anyone voiced concerns that the white faux leather will hold dirt from your hands? I work in a factory and sometimes my hands are dirty. I wouldn't want to ruin my brandy new phone...
