How do I do this???

I'm probably returning my Eris tomorrow, reactivating my old LG Dare, and then pre ordering the incredible online...

What do I do about all of my apps, contacts, and sd card?

I know that since the eris came with the 8GB sd card, I have to return it with the phone, but how do you think I should go about taking all of my files off of it?

For the apps, should I just make a list of all of my apps and then re-download them after I get the incredible?

Do I just delete my contacts?

Thank you and I apologize if the answers to these questions are obvious,

Miranda

for contacts, sync with google. when you get the incredible, during set-up, it should sync automatically.

for apps, if you have file manager (astro or similar), you can create a backup of all the apps, copy the backup file to the computer and reinstall them all on the inc.

then format sd card, factory reset phone and return

How do I sync with google?

I have ASTRO. How do I create a backup for all of the apps and copy the backup file to the computer?

open astro, menu>tools>appmanager/backup

from there, click the first box on the right side so it selects all your apps, then click backup. when you hook up the phone to your computer, you'll find a "backup' folder with all your apps. if you don;t care about anything else on the card, just copy that file to your computer.

for contacts, should just be menu>settings>sync choose google and sync contacts (are you on the 2.1 leak or 1.5 still?)

So in your phone settings there should be a sync option somewhere, its been a while since I've been in 1.5. Were you able to back up your apps?

Yes, thank you!

After that, I just copied everything on my sd card to a folder on my desktop...so now I format the sd card and factory reset right?

Yes, but double check your contacts online to make sure they're all there. Wouldn't want to factory reset and come to find the sync didn't work for some reason :(
