Clock has gone!

Hi,

Until recently I had a clock and date in the corner of the home screen (not the one in the notifications bar above). Anyway, it's fell off and I've tried everywhere to find it. How can I get it back??

Just a guess, but have you looked in the widgets area of programs? It sounds like a widget.

It does sound like a (the) clock widget.

Go to the homescreen it was previously on then tap apps icon(bottom right)>widgets(upper right)>swipe right to left until you find your clock, then tap and hold and slide into position. I hope this helps.

Excellent, I'm glad we helped. You probably got rid of it in the first place accidentally. To remove a widget tap and hold it and then drag it to the bin that appears top middle. I would imagine it's easy to do accidentally while sliding a phone into a jeans pocket while unlocked.

When I first saw this post, I thought, "How can you just lose a widget like that?" Then, this morning, I lost my google search widget. It's very easy to do. In my case, I was leaning over the phone and my wrist tapped the top of the screen, apparently selecting the widget and sliding it right up into the trash can.

I love having a "phone theory", if only a minor mystery solution proved !

A "lock widgets in place" setting would be good. The work around is to have all your homescreens full. If you accidently slide a widget across, they just bounce back.
