Help URGENT-- need to back up my Motion

Just cracked the screen on my LG Motion. The phone still works. I'd like to back up EVERYTHING except photos.

Data Pilot seems to back up only contacts.

Then there's this: Helium (formerly Carbon Desktop) Free Download

and Super Backup: http://asia.cnet.com/how-to-backup-and-restore-your-android-smartphone-62222232.htm

How may I back up everything or transfer EVERYTHING (except photos) to a new phone, whether it's another Motion or some other Android.

Use an SD card ?

Will this app work to back up everything AND allow allow transfer back to a new Motion or another phone, such as the F3 or a Samsung ?

What about the back up app that came with your Motion? I believe it backs up everything, and you can tell it to back up to the external sd card. If you're rooted, there's always titanium backup.

Never saw that app until now. It seems to back up

Apps (pre-installed and subsequent)
Calendar
Call Log
Contacts
Home Screen
Messages
System Settings

(It doesn't list application data as being backup up)

Will use it and save the info to the SD card used for Helium. Thank you so much.



UNFORTUNATELY---- it hung up at 20%, and completed only the Calendar and Call Log, whereas Super Backup and Helium seemed to complete successfully. Will let it sit and it might complete.

well i wll recommend to backup contacts, apps w/google, if uhav mod apps i think they can not be transfer.. just push... remember if u do a full backup of system.. u would not be able to use w/another phone beside motion. i recommend android tuner for apps backup.

Not sure all of this is understandable (by me). The BackUp app finally did complete, seemingly hung up on my 15000 contacts.

If BackUp can only be used with another Motion, then I'll use the Super Backup app or Helium to restore to an Optimus. Will these work ?

Chances are I'll just get another Motion because there are not many posts here regarding the F6, and the F6 is over twice the price without clear benefit in my geographic area.

Thank you. Matter resolved. Tried three Apps, and the one which worked the best and flawlessly was the "BackUp" app pre-installed in the phone.

the F6 is kind of like motion but bigger..
but difference ate that f6 runs in gsm., which is good
internalspace wise is smaller.
it wll be a good phone it soonest it go down in price...

It is not selling well. It needs to go down in price and/or have increased internal memory.
 
I backed up my phone like a couple of days ago using the backup app that came with the phone. I backed it up to a google account which is one of my gmails. Does anyone how to get all my data back or am i out of luck? Also do all metro pcs phones not come with a sd card, and can you buy one from metro pcs?

if u backup with stock app u should restore from it n u wll get all data back.. sync ur accnts. n i wll recomend to buy a 32sd from anywhere you like.. cheapest way.!!!
 
So i dont have a sd card atm. If i just sync my accounts I can get all my data back? Might be a stupid question,but how would I go about syncing my accounts?
 
Ok i synced the accounts. I think my problem may have been that i never used the google+ app. Because when you start it it asks do you want backup certain things. I believe that was my first time seeing those options. When i backuped up It went to my google account.When i go to restore from nothing comes up? Is there still a way I can get my data back? Nevermind I really just wanted to get my music back from an app that I had.

It does NOT back up everything. EXAMPLE = memos. That must be exported then imported separately.
