Shipping confusion!

So... I want to get the Inc, and I'm not sure if I should pre-order online, or get it at the store Thursday morning... I don't suspect the phone being sold out Thursday morning (I like in Iowa City, IA) so I don't think there will be a gigantic line for the phone open the store's opening.

I wanted to pre-order, simply because it's convenient, but it doesn't seem I'd be getting it on Thursday. And after calling vzw CS, they said the phone gets shipped upon release, so priority overnight (by 1030am) would translate to Friday. I was hoping shipping would be guaranteed for that Thursday, it seems not.

Comments? Clarification? Thanks!

Its been talked about many times before.
In summary, the Verizon online order page says,
"PRE-ORDERS PLACED ONLINE BEFORE 4PM LOCAL TIME ON 4/28 WILL BE DELIVERED 4/29."
You either believe Verizon's web page or you don't.

I'm a click away from submitting my order, and the disclaimer reads: "****Pre-orders will ship when item becomes available. We reserve the right to limit quantities. You cannot change your shipping address after you submit the order."

Maybe they changed it?

That part translates to "if you waited too long and we run out of stock don't come crying to us if you don't get a phone on time"

Well, I will have to order overnight anyway, I am not about to deal with rebate forms... sigh... one more day of waiting...

Well I don't know about anyone else but I pre-ordered on the 19th and last night got my Fedex tracking numbers and Fedex says I'll have mine on the 28th around 4:30 pm.
