Why does nearly every celeb use a iphone

The whole argument for the iPhone being easier to use is so dated (it simply isn't true). I could swear there were articles popping up just a few months back mentioning that the Galaxy S3 or S4 was found easier to use than any iPhone based on consumer reports or something.

Remember, most "celebrities" earn their living pretending to be somebody else. In the long run, they will NEVER stand up for anything they may believe in. They will continually gravitate to the next trendy thing in a never-ending effort to remain "cool".

Don't emulate them - its not worth it. Research your choices, ask questions, get whatever phone you feel suits your needs best and enjoy it!

Just curious as to why almost eveery famous person uses a iphone.

Everyone I follow on twitter is a iphone user other than lbj and jay z

But both of them are samsung sponsored.

In thinking of getting a nexus 5 and selling my 5s but then when i see everyone with iPhones always ales me wanna switch back

Same reason so many of them never finished High School...Pretty and bright are rare in Hollywood.

I've said before that celebrities should be stripped of their right to vote or make political statements. They are too unintelligent, and in addition, way too disconnected from what life is like for 90% of Americans.

If you've heard him you know that he warrants infamy not celebrity. :)

Bieber has to be a Blackberry user, to fit in with his fanbase demographic. 10yo girls love the Curve 9320, especially in purple. ;)

Of course... all Canadians use Blackberrys don't they?

The celebs we have here, are quite likely to be seen toting a Vertu or a Goldvish....rather than a common iPhone. :D

Well duh. They're free mostly. And most teachers at my school use them cause they're provided by att. Then they're like, hey can you hook me up with a Nexus 5? I'm like ya.

Well they're heavily subsidised in the US, same in the UK. Where I am the 5S is a $1,000 phone. A Goldvish is a $20,000 phone. Most people can't actually afford a new iPhone, if they do, they have to save long and hard. Or just have to make do with a fake, running Android.

Trivia: Did you know that both Goldvish and Vertu have more stores in Beijing than in the whole of North America? ....welcome to China

Hm. Well. HTC might be a good choice. I still have yet to go to China lol

Not all "celebrities" are American. Just like the members here.... such as the OP of this topic. ;)

True, but my comment still stands. You could cut out American and replace it with British, Canadian, Australian, German, Russian, French, Spanish, etc.

My .02 at one time Apple was the new hig cool thing and did an excellent job of marketing their stuff. I think people still remember that. Every time I thought about getting a Mac all I had to do was look at the sticker price. Thats why when I passed on my first IPad that was given to me I went with a Nexus 7 tablet. But hey it's worth it if you can get it.

I'm not sure that killing the record industry is exactly bad

Not all the industry is bad; there are numerous small independent labels dedicated to bringing on new artists. Besides which, physical media sales (vinyl, CDs) were declining before iTunes. Paradoxically, with even more alternatives such as Amazon, Play Music etc, they've recently shown an increase again.

Many of the "secrets" in that article could equally be leveled at other smartphone manufacturers. iPhones aren't unique in the components they use or the materials they're made from.

Amazon is also doing its part. It offers the mp3 version free if you buy the physical cd. I suppose it's more to do with getting rid of inventory rather than helping the record industry, though.

I think a couple of those "secrets" might be rather tinfoil hat as well. Like the one about how they can track your iPhone with satellites, even though it might be turned off.

True, though I wouldn't put it past them to have a passive receiver on waiting for a signal to activate for tracking. It is not like any cellphone is completely off unless the battery is out anyways. The power button on the phone isn't like a standard light switch.
