The Tablet Tavern

Tough, tough decisions. Toshiba is coming out with a 13" chromebook with haswell. I hope the display quality is improved. Wouldn't mind paying a bit more for that premium.

I think some people are confused as to why I'd want a chromebook in the first place, as in their eyes, it's "not a real OS". Well, a "real OS" is usually bogged down with bloatware, and I suppose some people might then recommend installing Linux, but if I can get a clean, light web experience right out of the box, why not? Only drawback is the unavailability of Skype, but I suppose I could still use my netbook for that. I also want a great web experience, and I know lots of people would too, since nowadays most of the time spent on computers is to be online. So yes, I'd be willing to pay more for a wonderful display and fast performance even if it doesn't come with a "real OS".

Hmm...maybe this should be on the rant thread :D

So I'm typing to you all from my new nexus 5. Android forums was the first downloaded app :) Wish I could figure out how to send a text, tho

Thanks. Luckily we live in an elevated, hilly area. It's just the surroundings that is worrisome, plus the electricity might go out.

That's how cold it is right now.

I'll get better. Damn kids thought because I was sick my math would have mistakes. My math was so correct they actually forgot all their Calculus.

Sometimes I'm in the mood to read a cheesy novel. This is not one of those times. I should probably pick something else.
