Am I the only one who thinks it odd that Sprint's EVO is a red and black phone? :P

When I saw the incredible, I thought it looked pretty mince for a Verizon phone. I usually didn't like their red and black color scheme, but they seemed to make it work on this model. The red interior under the hood is a nice touch.

Then I saw the EVO 4G, and I was confused. It has the same color scheme as Verizon's Incredible; even the red interior.
Maybe I'm missing something, but shouldn't it be yellow and black?

It just looks odd to see a phone sporting verizon's color scheme on sprint...
 
i think is more of an orangy red. But ya i see what you are saying but i think it looks good like it is.
 
Yellow wouldn't have looked good. Remember, the color will be seen underneath the kickstand. I see what you're saying, but red is a pretty standard color anyway ;P
 
Yeah, not a big fan of the red but much better than yellow. Their default theme on WM phones was hideous back in the day:

I thought I heard a rep saying the red was just for prototype units and the retail units are actually going to be silver. I hope not though, I think the red is a nice touch and makes it look a bit more cool and sleek. Would be nice if we had a choice in color though; I'd prefer blue myself.

Maybe they gave yellow a try and realized how hideous it looks =p

The back still has red accents and it is red under the back plate.
 
Yeah, my mistake. I went back to the vid and I guess I had confused it with something else. I agree must be an HTC thing.
 
well im a steelers fan so i would have liked black/yellow. but i love the ferrari red.

dylan, I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Reminds me too much of the old stock Mogul I posted. That and bumblebees.

No garish colors dammit!
 
Here's a better yellow one, I just whipped up. Just not a fan of yellow, nor of any color really. I just want black and silver personally, but I can live with red.

Nah, I mean I want to paint over the red parts so it's black and silver. It's just personal preference. I've always preferred black, white, silver, etc. on my electronics. I'm sure it's psychological but bright colors make me think of toys while black and silver, metal and glass make me think of high end electronics. It's like the one thing Apple is good at IMO. They have made a religion of that kind of design ever since they got over those fugly colored iMacs and toilet seat iBooks...blech.

It never ceases to amaze me that anybody ever sold those, let alone Apple. I hear you, in any case.
