Help Copy or Convert Exchange contacts to Phone Contacts?

I've got thousands of contacts stored on Exchange, so searching through them can be difficult. Most of my personal contacts are stored on the phone, and I set the contacts app to only show phone contacts by default. For some reason though a few contacts that used to be on the phone or now showing up only as Exchange contacts. I'd like to convert or copy these contacts so they show up under the phone contacts. Possible?

Export your contacts. Look through that file (and learn what's in it and what it all means). Then change what you want, wipe the phone contacts and reimport the file.

Thanks. Thought there might be a more obvious and supported way via the UI, but if not I'll have to give that a try sometime when I have a bit more time.
