Feel like my day was ruined when I went to study and found out my notes from yesterday were not saved on S Note.
Can't always rely on tech, I like to have a backup.
I'm often taking notes when watching other teachers, and this is how I do it. I'll transcribe them later.

Pfft. I has fanfic backups on my Dropbox, paper, and my HDD
Was talking to a friend a few weeks ago, he was extremely annoyed as apparently his iPad Mini had lost all his notes. And he didn't have another copy.

I find that if I don't write it down physically..
pen and paper old fashion style..
I don't have the same recall as typing it on a device...
maybe it's just me but......
writing it down= total recall=saved and stored in your memory =less effort in the long run
it's a win win !!

You know there's trouble when you hand someone your phone to share an amusing animated gif and notice a few minutes later that they're waiting for the movie to end.
I know there's trouble when I hand my phone to the taxi driver, so my drunken host can tell him/her where the restaurant is. I've not quite got the hang of slurred mandarin yet.

What is that? I haven't used one of those since I got my note.

You might want to get one, just in case your Note or Nexus or iPad or whatever decides to delete your notes, etc. Or at least have them immediately backed-up to another device or PC or Dropbox or whatever.

TBH I hate ruined days, so I try to avoid it wherever possible.
