Interesting! I went as far as the checkout page on an upgrade (2 year extension) and it took the discount for the DI. Looks like it even works for other smart phones. Reduced the price on an Eris to $49.99 as well.

Now I just hope VZW comes out with a BOGO where you buy the DI and can get a Moto Droid free. Not holding my breath on that one though. If nothing else they need to reduced the Moto Droid from the $199 it's at.

when you do the upgrade you get to a page that says "submit changes" with a red button, does that just bring you to the shopping cart or will it process your order?

the reason I ask is i want to change my shipping address to a different one than my home address.
 
This might sound stupid, but where did you find out about this code? My only reason for asking is that if people do try to get it applied to a pre-order, they might ask (I've had this happen in the past) that question. Saying I got it in an email or an ad on your website, or whatever, might carry more weight than saying you saw it on a message board.
 
Can codes like this be applied to store purchases or can they only be used online. Was going to pick up 2 phones in the store on Thursday but with this extra discount I may need to just order online.
 
I get "Criteria for ***** promotion were not met; no discount was applied." message when trying to use code while adding Incredible to family plan.

EDIT: I was looking at one year pricing. Looks like the code only works with two year pricing.
 
Just used the code. Looks like it worked. Unfortunately you cannot combine both smart30 and the free overnight.
 
The Discount comes up when you are ordering and get to a certain point and start to cancel, a pop-up comes up saying you can save $30 and order now.
 
Looking forward to getting this phone (but only after I get to play with it first)! I am planning to get it at best buy so I can get the instant rebate. Do you think they would honor this code?

Just checked with my Best Buy and nope they wont honor it. Also ordering online has instant rebate

Yes, Dgold82.

They honor Verizon Online discounts as noted by the BB cell manager at my store (very nice neighborhood so very good customer service).

Just print out a screen shot of the SMART30 you punched in and that it worked the day you go in (with the date included on print settings on top of the page).

That's what I'm doing. If for some crazy reason they deny it I'll tell them to screw off and order it online. But I highly doubt they are going to deny it especially with my dated printout of the code in action on the final order page.

So instead of going home with the phone in hand you are going to drive back home empty handed, go on the internet and buy the phone and then wait another couple of days to get the phone for $30? Wow you have more patience than i do.
 
Called *611 and then they gave me the number to call for online orders(8663387390) and was told the order has already been processed so they couldn't give me the promo code discount

Hah! Don't think I would have the patience either for $30 (don't blame me, I am using a blackberry flip 8230 and have been eagerly waiting to get rid of it).

I want to get this at BB since I have a gift certificate that I have been waiting to use. I'll try the print out showing the discount. Thanks for the suggestion!
 
I just called Verizon and they said to call back once I receive the phones. They will then credit me $60 for 2 Incredibles, no problem. Thankfully mine is on the truck for delivery today.
