well idk if we get sold info alot of the posts will stop because thats what half of this is is just us going around and around about when this phone is gonna come out. so we will have big outbreak then it should trail off after we know more

I agree why? But at least we should find out more about the price and maybe even more surprises to expect. :)

There is always some nutcase who will try to crash if they know the place...then try to walk out with an EVO. (then probably try to sell it to Gizmodo)

So between the nut jobs and other corporate espionage types, they don't want any riffraff there.
 
You ask me like I know where its being held at. shoot, i wish i knew. but Nope i am only second guessing the latest info that its on the west side of 42 st past the javits center.
Unless its at the AMC theaters between 8th and 9th avenue but that puts it 2 avenues east of the javits area.

i agree, the secrecy is bothersome, cause its not like anyone can get in without a pass. Unless they are doing it to avoid us members from being out side with big signs saying, LET MY EVO GO. lol

I was directing the question to the general public not you directly, but anyways, does the invitation say something like: "Don't share this with your peers, especially from Android Forums since they are a bunch of evo-nuts and we don't want them there". Because that I would understand...:D

EDIT - I just read it and it actually includes a private screening of the movie Prince of Persia, so it must be in a theater...FYI Sprint - we have theaters here in Rochester, NY too, so get busy and mail my invitation...You know what, I'll be right back...<<running to check my mail to see if I have invitation already>>>

I agree..Bill and Super are great and all..But shouldn't have jumped on you. Especially with Bill at one point not wanting fluff and championing staying on topic. How often you post is irrelevant. If you don't post but view the thread/forum you're still part of the supposed family and still one of us. I could do without the fluff as well, I visit this thread more than once a day yet still hard to keep up and an incredible time suck. I do understand that things can get too big to control though.

Uncle Dan did say that one of the uses of 4G and/or Evo (don't remember which) was for medical uses. What better way to test that than a fake doctor helping a fake patient to demonstrate the uses of the device or network. And what a better gift from Sprint to our fake doctor for helping in a miraculous recovery of a sure death of a the fake patient than an Evo...:cool:

This was Clock's first post and this is what I said to him:
Welcome Clock. I appreciate your comments and I agree with some of your issues, but I also think you're a little critical for a first time poster. For example, you're dinging us for being off topic, but you bring up the Incredible, the iPhone and release dates, but you don't back it up with anything new. So how is that not off-topic? If you have some good information you'd like to share that would make this a better place, then great. I'd love to hear what you have to say. We would especially like something nice and juicy that we can sink our teeth into.

Did the guy piss me off? Yes, but I was trying to be cordial. In my opinion, he had a lot of balls coming in here on his first post acting like he owned the place telling us how to do things. If you guys think I overreacted, I'll send him apology. There's only been a couple of people that I saw as (potential) trouble makers from the get-go in this thread and he was one of them.
 
Just found this site and I have to say I'm loving it. Thanks to everyone for providing all the EVOlicious information! Haha! About the release dates....

May 12th - NY event a little info gets released
May 17th LA event (could of sworn I read that somewhere) a little more info released
May 22nd pre-orders begin
June 6th (about 2 weeks later) - release date for BB
June 13th - release date for Sprint

What do you guys think? Possible? Sorry if all this has been posted before or I'm wrong about a date but my brain is fried from all the reading to get caught up. :D
 
Well my local best buy had no clue of the release date and just told me summer. Guess I'm not as lucky as you guys. But I totally agree with the doctor idea haha. Also by all you guys talking about work and kids, I feel like the youngest user here(I'm only 14) Think I'll be the youngest person with an EVO when it comes out? haha

that guy he talked to in the chat doesnt seem like he had a lot of info. all he said was "you are correct" idk. doesnt seem right. i do agree with him about the june release for the evo lol
