Root [Virgin Mobile] How to Disable Connections Optimizer?

I unchecked the box for Connections Optimizer, but when I go back in it is re-checked.

I don't have Titanium to freeze it. Read that ROM Tools app can do the same thing.

Do I need to freeze it somehow?

I am using jdsingles stock ROM.

If you are rooted, freeze Connections Optimizer with Titanium Backup or other root freeze tools.

Thanks, I was able to freeze it with the free app ROM Toolbox Lite. It is grayed out now. I will be able to sleep easy tonight.

ROM Toolbox is a good one to have in general, would recommend upgrading to Pro. This is true of any good root app which offers both free/lite and paid versions, because why not have access to the full functionality of the app and support an awesome dev at the same time?
