Just saw this blog commenting on a potential "early" release, but I could've sworn someone had posted the same/similar info in this thread. For those that remember, please correct me if I'm wrong.

If they changed the screen to the incredible screen I'd consider that over the Evo if I find the evo too large BUT if they use the same screen the other nexus had I would rather not even bother with the N1. The phone has too many issues and they need to upgrade some things on it before any other carrier has it IMO.

When I read about the N1 I was in New Orleans on vacation and I got really psyched. I was debating switching to T-Mobile to get this phone and ditch my Pre but there were no family plans available with subsidy and I didn't have $1100+ to buy two outright. I ended up figuring I would wait for it or something like it to show up on Sprint. Luckily for me, the much rumored but never confirmed Android Wimax phone started popping up in online buzz and inventory lists. I had been hearing rumors of Sprint's first Android phone with Wimax coming in 2010 but I didn't know just how soon it was coming. Glad I'll be ready for an upgrade on June 6th, one year after Pre-day.

Someone posted that a while back on here. But it would be nice if it was released before June 6th. LOL

And just like that...April is pretty much done. We're coming into May with a little over 2 weeks for the media event then after that, it's just one more month away. Hang in there folks! Welcome new people and long time lurkers, future former-iPhone users, future former-PalmPre users etc. I think there might be a ton of new media (video reviews, unboxing?, new specs revealed) in about 2 weeks.

Nokia seems to be trying to one up the EVO already in terms of hardware:

But I still don't see a "4G" compatible in those specs

I watched this whole video and the demonstration was good, but I couldn't help but notice how small the screen is in comparison to the EVO 4G screen. When I used the Phone Arena Size Compare Visualization tool awhile back, I noticed the Incredible screen width was about the same as my Hero. The guy doing the demonstration was having problems hitting the right places, like I do on my Hero. You have to keep in mind that with HTC Sense UI, all 7 home screens only work in portrait mode and do not rotate to landscape. I have a lot of trouble typing on my Hero for that reason and I can see the same problem with the Incredible. The screen on the Incredible is longer, which might make it better than my Hero for viewing web pages, but otherwise, it's terrible.

The screen on the EVO is a lot wider (see the size comparison tool I mentioned above) and you'll see typing in portrait mode on the home screens will be a lot easier. The Incredible is a nice phone, but I wouldn't want it.

I would get it, if the EVO didn't exist. It looks like a really nice phone, but the EVO just kills it . That 4.3" screen will be amazing to use every day.

the Javitts center goes from 34th street up to 38nd Street and from 11th Avenue to 12th Avenue/West Street So it can't be that. By saying west of the Javitts it could be anywhere after 11th avenue since the main entrance is on 11th. So any of the properties on the north side of 42nd st from 11th and 12th avenue. South side is a construction site near 11th avenue and closer to 12th avenue is the new Silverstein properties, but looking at their website there isn't anything like a hall or space large enough for the media and a movie theater type screen. If he really means west of the Javitts, then you hit the piers, the Circle Line Cruise and a bit further north the Intrepid sea and air museum.

Although if i am not mistaken there are a few TV station buildings within that area.

Don't know if its possible but Disney owns the building on Broadway and 46th(47th?) that used to be the Virgin Mega Store and has a Movie Theatre attached it is not scheduled to open until the fall but it is a huge facility I think Disney is making into a mini Disney World. I don't know what stage the construction is at but it would be a large enough area with a theatre.

The overall consensus and trend is that Sprint generally releases phones Sundays, so I wondered if we could synthesize a day of the week that Best Buy usually releases phones. For example, they usually always release new media on Tuesdays (games, music, movies etc.)

Okay. The Hero was released by Sprint on Sunday, October 11th, but it went on sale to Best Buy Reward customers on Friday, October 9th.

So i was thinking. Do you know how cool it would be for us all to meet up outside of this event on May 12th if i can find out where it is? Dan is down in Kansas but hey he might be able to slip me an address. I know many of you live in NY, and I'm not too far away from that in RI. May 17th LA event (could of sworn I read that somewhere) a little more info released
May 22nd pre-orders begin
June 6th (about 2 weeks later) - release date for BB
June 13th - release date for Sprint

is right on target. THat Event in LA is where we will find out every single spec of the phone. Then on the 6th BB, and on the 13 SS

Has anyone else noticed that the Sprint/4G website now has a "See 4G Cities" that shows the service in the near future cities as well as the cities that have it?

Don't take this wrong, it just amuses me that a lot of you techno geeks are waiting for 4g coverage while an ol' Texas cowboy like me that doesn't know squat about this stuff is already covered in Fort Worth, Texas. Yeeehaaaaw!

The main problem I have with the Incredible is that it's on Verizon

They may have nice coverage, but all their plans are grossly overpriced.
