Root [Virgin Mobile] CyanogenMod 10.2 Stable Release/Official CM 11 Upcoming! (Edit: It's Here!!)

So flashed fine for me, no error messages about bluetooth. Just dirty flashed over the 12/12 nightly. Camera tested and confirmed working as well, but will keep Cymera app and play with it a bit because it seems like an app worth having.

I flashed the bloat version with no issues. I will re-download in the morning at work (house sitting and of course I can't connect to their wifi). I work at a funeral home with reliable wifi so hopefully all should be good to go for me by 10am.

Flashed the bloated update along with the dalvik patch and the dkp kernel. Camera is working good now.

But i noticed that when i was on 4.3 and the dkp kernel i was able to oc to 1.78ghz and be stable but with CM 11 i cant even run a benchmark with anything over about 1.6ish ghz. Idk if it's an error on my part but i figured I'd bring it up. I can report back if i find any other bugs. I do have to say I'm loving 4.4.2 though.

I don't believe in benchmarks, but just did the Dalvik patch myself and my before/after jumped like 1500 points! Hopefully this will actually be a legit thing! And please, feel free to post with any and all findings, every bit of input helps move things forward!

I should have worded it better (my bad), the phone would lock up when under any type of stress (web browsing, benchmark eww, and such) at anything over 1.6 and i'd have to pull the battery.

And Aj you can find the link up in post #71

I really don't see a need for overclocking on this phone, 1512 is totally fine, what with dual core and all. I bump up my minimum to 540 for faster wake times, but have had zero issues with speed or stability just sticking to stock max. I use dkp to undervolt for battery savings and freelunch/zen combo. Second test build of dkp for 4.4 AOSP yielded over 32 hours between charges for me with average to above average usage of my phone.

So my apps truly seem to be opening and responding much faster after the Dalvik patch, I don't think it is a placebo effect. Experimented very briefly with ART a couple of weeks ago, and the feel is very much the same in terms of responsiveness.

you do have a good point, and that patch helped for sure because I can tell a big difference opening apps compared to the first CM 11 nightly I flashed yesterday. that was a good find for sure!

Are there any custom kernels that are working with this or are they even necessary? If you are, what kernels are you using?

Well, after using CM11 for a week or so, I have to say, I prefer Carbon. CM is nice, but Carbon has some features that I miss, and CM has some things that I really don't care for. Once Carbon gets upped to 4.4, I'll be happy.

Using Xposed Installer made up for a lot of the missing customization I am used to from Carbon, but as soon as their 4.4 starts releasing I am all over that! I think I check their website and the download page several times a day with my fingers crossed. They did just finish some maintenance on their download page (not the one linked from the website, but this one: File Contents of http://download.carbon-rom.com/files/.) which indicates to me that this should happen any day now. Shoot, I wouldn't have included them in my signature line if I wasn't a fanatic!

Can we install the nightly updates or will it mess up camera?

Lots of talk on XDA about a new crop of camera issues on 12/16 nightly. Probably only worthwhile to currently flash nightlies that are semi-reliable, instead of flashing every single one just to discover that there are fixes needed for the fixes on the previous nightly!

anyone else not getting mms to send even with 3g only?

Sent an MMS today using Hangouts to someone who almost always replies back, but haven't heard from them about whether it came through or not, which makes me wonder. Running 12/15 build.

Update: sent an MMS just now and had receipt confirmed.

Thought I'd share that the 12/15 CM11 with the dalvik optimization broke my bluetooth. It would connect the first time but then when turned off then back on, the Bluetooth Share would force close and then it wouldn't turn back on. Dirty flash from 12/13 CM11, cache & dalvik wiped prior to and after flashing.

I restored my Nandroid of 12/13 CM11, added the dalvik optimization and bluetooth is working perfectly again.

also could I flash the stock rom from this? just wipe cache system data, then flash then cache dalvik cache?

the clean to install new rom option? does that factory reset it?
