Samsung Galaxy S on Sprint

Supposedly the Samsung Galaxy S is coming to all four major US carriers before the end of this year. That is great news! It gives us all, particularly Sprint Customers, more selection of Android devices. But, with the Evo 4G coming in June, who is going to wait for this? Although, with the AMOLED 4" screen, I am highly contemplating it. A 4" screen is big enough for me and might be more pocketable than a 4.3" screen. Plus with the AMOLED screen, it's going to be brighter and crisper for outside use. Not too mention I just bought a whole new TV and A/V Surround System at home, and it is all Samsung.
 
Not just AMOLED. Super AMOLED. AMOLED that you can actually see in the sun. While the screen does look amazing, I'm going to go with the Evo. My wife's Blackjack II really ruined Samsung phones for me. It was the worst cell phone we've ever owned. HTC makes really nice phones, and I'd rather have the slightly larger screen, HDMI output, and 4G. I do love my Samsung TV and computer monitor though!

Expect to see Super AMOLED screens on a lot of phones soon. If its nearly as impressive in real life as the screenshots I've seen, cell phone companies would be fools to not snatch these up.
 
unless Samsung does not sell the other manufacturers the Super AMOLED screens, in order to make their phones more appealing.
 
I would just like to hear a more definitive release date on the Galaxy, and exactly which carrier's it will be coming too...so I can make my decision and wait for the one I want.

yeah i heard blackjack 2 sucked big time..... but nobody is perfect even though i had really bad experience with Behold (the first one) right now i have behold 2 and i love it!!!! i gave them another chance (by myself Lol) Evo does look nice but Tmo will have HSPA+ so it'll be alright i guess.... but that HDMI does sounds tempting!!!
 
I too am torn between this and the Evo, granted I'm leaning more towards the Evo...BUT if this came out with a definite release date and it was to be released before the Evo had a date (which should NOT be the case, as speculation for the Evo is like June 13th)...but just saying if it came out before I'd go ahead and get the Galaxy!

I just want both the phones to get the release dates out already so I can decide LOL!

seriously... i agree with u Samsung needs to release the date soon!!! well i'm getting Galaxy S for sure because i'm with T-Mobile and i do not want to switch to Sprint at all so galaxy s for me!! my personal opinion "HTC is over rated" it's just my personal opinion now so don't attack me for saying that

Now that the Nexus One for Sprint has been cancelled, the Galaxy S is my only hope. Let's hope it comes out for Sprint!
 
stay away from samsung, once they put out a phone they do nothing with the upkeep or support, they just hang it out to dry while they work on the next phone!!!
 
THis phone is going to be awesome. I think I will wait for this over the evo but not really sure yet. I really hope sprint gets this phone. I can say that the screen is beautiful and it seems to be the right size for me to carry. Not a big fan of samsung after the moment but this phone looks like a winner. It's running 2.1 so that's a good start and 1ghz is good too.
 
I want this phone on Sprint. I see no reason that it doesn't come out on Sprint. Sprint carries many Samsung phones. Tons of Samsung phones to choose from on Sprint......it should come!
 
Im thinking, I might wait for this phone also (if its released on sprint). The EVO isn't even out yet but im already kinda sick of looking at it. I wonder if the smart life overlay can be turned off to reveal android home screens?
