I have one that works on grass. It sucks the siding off of our house up to the second floor from up to 15' away. A vicious machine. :)

She snores:/ she sounds like a pig
Her stuffed toy IS a pig:)
Although she likes her mouse and lamb chop the best:)
She will dig through her Toy basket looking for whichever toy she feels like playing with at the moment

So spoiled:)

It used to be 10 minutes...

I just turned off automatic updates all together. When I wake my laptop from sleep, it would restart, not saving my work in Word. Even though I had saved it I was pretty pissed.

LibreOffice leaves Word in the dust. Free or subscription.

I take exception to this statement on so many levels...

Libre Office/ OpenOffice.org is a very good suite for the price (free).

Write is on par with MS Word, but only about 90% compatible. MS Excel is superior to Calc, if only in ease-of-use; but Base has the same advantage over Access.

Frankly, most stuff that people do in Write can as easily (or more so) be done in a plain old text editor such as Wordpad or gedit.

I refuse to use Microsoft products. They are so consistently inconsistent. You can always depend on a crash.

After 12 years of failed projects, I cut the ties. Unless I can not avoid their products, I don't use them. My photo restoration and video production business improved overnight.

You can have the entire MS Office Suite. I'll pass. Eduardog131's Word file failed to register. I used to have the same issues. Not any more. My LibreOffice invoices and templates never fail.

To each, their own.

I approve this statement.

You have the dubious advantage of being self-employed... many of us are tethered to the MS machine by our corporate overlords.

Exactly. Hence, my move to be more efficiently productive. Nothing personal.

This wasn't Word's fault at all :p It was my fault for not turning off automatic updates. Either way, LibreOffice is good, too. My school got a MSDN subscription of Office 2013 (VLK, activated via KMS for ease.) Also, the only reason I would use Word is because fanficiton.net takes .docx documents and keeps all the formatting, then uploads it.

Yes, to each their own.

It WAS Word's fault. MS app, MS OS. That's the issue.

I've been using a MacBook Pro (new purchase) for 15 months and have had zero issues. I can't say the same for any 15 month period from the last 12 years in my computer experience with any MS OS, starting with Win 98.

Oh well. Since then I changed to Ubuntu 13.10, and I use LibreOffice now. The computer has its hiccups. That's only when I edit large videos or photos. Other than that Ubuntu is on par with Windows.

I use and prefer Mavericks. It smokes everything I've previously used.

I'll wait for OS X when I can get a successfully built Hackintosh, for now, I have one Hackintosh laptop that runs 10.5/10.6/10.7 tri-boot. OS X is cool.
