I did this and everything looks good so far. My 2 biggest concerns, Gmail images and links in apps, are finally fixed.. yay!!

Now only if I get protected apps in the market.

Oh, I tried the airplane trick. I'm currently at 2 bars. It went up to 3 bars, then back down to 1, and back up to 2. IDK.

Considering how the devs from there that fixed the broken 2.1 beta 1 file are also members here, yet still decided to report it on XDA, I'm going to wait until someone from XDA says something.

What are you trying to do? The airplane trick will not improve your bars. The airplane trick is for removing the 50% without signal bug when you go to About Battery, Battery Use, click on Cell Standby and look at the number at the bottom.

If your bars have gone done compared to what they were prior to this leak, the true reading of signal is when you are making a call. The bars should jump up a bit. If not, then I dunno. That is your true reception, I guess. When idle, it seems the signal meter is a bit incorrect, though.

If you have flashed the ROM and no longer receive no reception at all (can not make a call), call Verizon customer service and they will fix it for you.

A *228 may work, so try that first. Most likely, it will not. So call VZW.

ah i thought it did both.. But atleast it fixed the time with out signal

Not sure why swype isn't working, it's working for me. Using a custom sype light courtesy of Sh0ebox. Link posted below.

On 2.1v3... so far so good! Interested to see if dialer lag is fixed. Have to build up a large call log before I'll know for sure.
