Help Help Needed with this Moto!

I just got it up and running last night. First question is, do I Need this new kit update and what does it improve?

Also I can't find my pics I tested and can't even find the menu- if it has one.

What are some battery saving tips? On my Droid X I can go to battery saver, I can't find something similar to data saver, background data and just to enable the data only so I can control if and when I use data. I am on a very limited data plan so this is Very important to me. I like to download on wifi unless it's very small.

Install the Data ON-OFF widget from Play (free). It puts control of data on the homescreen so you don't have to go drilling for it every time you want to change it or check it. (It's grayed out when data is off - touch it and it toggles between on and off.)

Thanks guys, I will check them out. You know I just noticed I don't have Navi on my Moto and I always thought that was factory. Also no menu to find like most. Until I got this valuable info, I had to keep wifi and data off because it was constantly downloading stuff which most I have no idea what they are!

+1 for Power Toogles...I have it and it's great. For some settings, if you swipe down from the very top (notification bar), and the icon with a person looking out a window, it have some options.

I didn't see a window or face.

Maybe it's included with the launcher I'm using, Nova Launcher Prime. I can't remember if the window is included with the stock launcher or not. I changed to NLP after getting the phone in Dec.

Have you downl8aded the full moto g instruction book? This will help you understabd you new phone. Swipe 1 finger from the top of the screen down and you should see the face in top right hand corner swipe 2 fingers down and the settings will open included the toggle to turn off wifi

Thanks, I found it! Now i need to download the manual. That little booklet that come with it sucks! With the older cell phones I've got manual 1/2" thick...guess they try to save paper. lol
