Has anyone found the Note 3 so bad that they have gone back to their old phone?

I've been satisfied with the Note 3 but I don't find it overwhelmingly better than the Note 2.

Personally I just want an even bigger phone. Larger screen.

So am I the ONLY one out here who uses their phone 2 handed? What's the big deal about using one hand? I get sometimes you don't have two free hands but other than that, isn't is just easier to use two hands? It is also MUCH safer since you can maintain a proper grip with one hand while you do whatever you need with the other. One handed use seems to lend itself to a lot of accidental drops. The Note may seem big when holding or putting in a pocket but the immense postives to having a larger screen when doing a lot of things (movies, documents, writing, S Pen, Books, etc.) cannot be over stated.

only one thing that I hate about the note 3 and thats the camera. Its more difficult to draw it out of your pocket and take a good quick snap. The note 2 was far better IMHO with none of this 'processing' status where you need to stay still for a second or so and make sure all the settings are just so. I've had 3 Note 3's and they have all been the same. Rubbish for a

I can do somethings one handed, but no I use two hands. I have small hands anyway (my wife's are bigger), and it was one of the reasons I baulked originally at getting a Note 1. I thought it would be too large, it wouldn't have been and neither is my Note 3.

This device is by far the most powerful and capable phone I've ever had (including the Galaxy S4). It has to all intents and purposes replaced my lap top.

The only problem most will have with the Note 3 is the size. Its a phablet, not a phone and sometimes people forget that.

That's what I like the most about it. It took a little getting used to but I really haven't used may tablet since I bought the Note 3.

it seems that this thread has NOT gone the direction the OP intended.
well that is to be expected .. based on where it was posted. :P

are there any.. that could NOT deal with the NOTE3.. size or performance or reliability.
and had to get rid of it as soon as they could???

Na. People think like that (like me!) then use one for longer than an hour and they're hooked. All phones other than a Note seem small to me.

Nope. Love the Note 3. My S2 now seems so small after using the Note 3. We have Sprint and the network is sometimes sketchy but we really like the Note 3. We did not root them, just left them as they were.

Hi all, just interested in opinions.

My Note 3 is so annoying with regards to missing calls and poor signal that I'm considering going back to my Note 2 which is clearly better in that department.

Anyone else done this or are you hanging in there knowing your old phone was more reliable?

U have a 14 day return policy, why didn't you return it?

I have returned it and its getting repaired, it was 100% the handset as ive been using my Note 2 since Sun and have been getting a strong signal at all the places the Note 3 would be out of service, even got 4G at the football last night when I couldn't even get 1 bar before.

Happy now that I know, the O2 signal is actually great on the Note 2 so fingers crossed it comes back and works like it should, failing that I will sell it and stick with my Note 2.

I was so close to pre-ordering a S5 with the jump program and turning in my Note 3 when I realized the 32GB S5 is not available yet for launch day. There is no way I'm ever going back to a 16GB phone after experiencing the 32GB that came standard on the Note 3. Just no possible way.

I've been saying for quite a while that 32gb should be the standard.

Remember the mythic 64Gb Note 3? As common as a three-legged unicorn.
I'm currently raising 3 herds of them.

Seriously, the N3 should come with 64GB - and Safestrap as the recovery. If mine blows up tomorrow, I have nandroids of all my ROMs, and I make a nightly nandroid of the one I'm currently using. Fastest and easiest way to back up everything at once. My only problem will be if both my cloud accounts, by 32GB SD card (separate from the one in the phone) and my laptop all go bad at the same time. And if my luck runs that bad, death would probably be an improvement.

(And "soft brick" no longer means lots of work getting the phone working again, it just means restarting and, at worst, restoring the backup. From now on I don't buy a phone that has no Safestrap for it.)

No I use mine with 2 hands too. Very rarely do I use it with one hand as its just not safe enough :p. Worried I'll drop it. I might do one handed to read an email/text I've just received but, anything more than that and both hands are used.

Mine has been so bad since i updated to Kit Kat. On Jellybean it was perfect

I got a brand new Note 3 this week and KitKat was pre-installed. Performance and battery life are excellent so far. I'm on target for ~72 hours and 6.75 hours screen time per charge and I have made no attempt to disable battery hogs. In fact there don't seem to be any.

You are so lucky. Battery isn't an issue. My bluetooth connection drops and my screen won't wake up most of the time. Also a bit slow and my wallpaper crashes and changes.

I haven't tried Bluetooth yet, but speed and stability are spot on.

I also have the original Note and I know many people suffered problems when upgrading that phone from ICS to JB. The best advice I've for that phone and also for the Note 3, when performing Android upgrades, is to backup your data, wipe (factory reset) the phone and format internal/external storage and then restore the data you want. That should eliminate any corrupt data or iffy settings and give you a clean base going forward, which might help smooth the upgrade experience.

Maybe as I had KK installed from the start and had no need to upgrade over existing data and settings that is why everything is going smoothly for me.
