Hi can anyone tell me how to get rid of nova launcher and return back to stock launcher?
My phone is galaxy s4 and is rooted, I'm also using a Google edition ROM if that's any help

Yeah in phone settings go to applications, find nova and "clear defaults" then when you hit "home" you'll be given a choice of browser to use. Or just uninstall nova

I tried this and it didn't work :( any other suggestions? It just went straight back to Nova

Hmm that's strange. Just uninstall it then mate. Make sure you definitely have another launcher on there first.
And welcome to the forums

Try downloading HomeSmack. It's an app by the Nova dev to switch launchers. It will list all launchers on the phone and allow you to choose which to use.

On my Droid Bionic (and other Moto devices from the MotoBlur era) the presence of ANY third party launcher would cause that launcher to become the default. The only way to return to the stock launcher was to remove ALL third party launchers. Something similar may be going on here.

HomeStack should get the job done, for changing which launcher is being viewed. The simplest method for removing Nova might be to just look it up in Google Play and uninstall it that way. The only catch night be with the ROM, as some use third party launchers instead of Google's,which could then prove tricky to delete.

It's very simple. If you don't like it, just uninstall it. I don't see any reason to retain it on your device.
