DISCLAIMER, I am NOT responsible if you brick your phone or turn it into a paperweight or anything along those lines.

(but i will help you fix it if you do brick it)

Ok so over in the forums HERE the awe (the nex) is getting CM11. Pretty much the deal is we need more devs to help us out. I've started my own branch of development on this phone since me and my bro got this phone. CM11 however is proving to be a task. It boots yes but it has hw issues such as the camera making the phone reboot, the headphones not working, or the cdma network radio not working.

Heres the link to the current one.

I'm currently compiling a new zip with updated cdma radio build.prop edits and a partial in progress camera fix. (recommended if you tap fast on your phone and accidentally tap the camera because it fixes the reboot issue.)

Instructions:
[Disclaimer] It says its pro but its not. No piracy don't worry.

First download the file.

Open and install it.

Open the app.

Go to the service and start it stoppable.

Go back and go to phone call audio and depending on if you have a mic on your headset either set it to wired headphones or wired headphones (mic).

And voil

Well your gonna need to flash cwm. Make sure your not using the touch recovery. Then go and back up your device. If you haven't already then you need to format your system, data, cache, dalvik cache and then factory reset to make sure. After all that you need to make sure the signature verification is off and reflash the cm11 zip. Watch it and make sure at the end that it installs the radiant kernel.

I was using it but its too buggy. It doesn't format anything correctly unlike the non touch cwm that was released. He may not have formated the system. This would be my first guess.

Ah OK good then. I am pulling my ROM with philz. Its cm11 with a build.prop edit to fix the mic issue. It seems they had changed the mic to digital (backside mic) all I did was modify a few things like I changed it to analog and broadside audio.
 
The OP isn't really clear, but is cell calls/data working, or is that a future release with the updated CDMA files? I'd love to flash this thing (we never use the camera anyway because of the low quality) but it has to pass my wife's approval factor first. :)
 
CDMA ril isn't implemented yet AFAIK. Sound routing had a temp fix. A few devs and I are working for a real fix for the problem msm8930 devices. Sitar sound is a pitfa

You guys should really look for a CDMA fix. I've been wracking my brain trying to get it working before I activate my phone
 
That'll take a bit more work because i can't do that. I never had Virgin Mobile (had boost before) but bought the awe to dev on and work with cooldudezach and his new plaything. He won't be helping with cm11 for a while, if ever. I have Verizon now (as of Sunday because my auntie loves meh and gave me free service she pays for) so I picked up the LG Lucid 2 and have a Galaxy S3 which may be traded up for a Note 2 by the end of the week. I'll have even less time to work on this device now.

Well that sucks. I just got this phone and cm11 is so much better it just needs service. I'm trying to get the phone on xda but that will be hard.

How about Modaco? They are very supportive of ZTE phones. Granted its GSM mostly but there's loads of talented guys over there. :)

See the thing is that's a gingerbread ROM. Its set up differently. I checked the phone apk and it doesn't contain those files from what i could see. So there's not much I've gathered from that post other than with the build.prop that might be somewhat useful. And for the other dude no, I haven't made jack in progress. I'm at my limit, I'm stumped.
 
So guys it seems I've been looking in the wrong places. I found a cm11 rom for the warp sequent and that's a CDMA device too so I ported rils over from that rom with no luck. Well I looked around on XDA and I ran into a thread and it sparked something and I thought maybe it's the modem!!! Well crap I'm gonna try it out here and if it works I'll release a fix.
