Hey all, my power buttons sorta loose and wobbly. Don't know if this is normal how stiff is your guys power/lock buttons?

Does anyone have loose volume and power buttons?
When I touch either button, I can hear them click since the buttons are touching the sides of the phone. Mine aren't that loose yet, but I fear that after continued use they'll hang out like I've seen in some other users' phones.

I have not had any problems with the volume buttons and they feel very firm.

On the lower right hand side the speaker is not perfectly flush like the left side is. Do i want to make a fuss? I told the salesman that i would be looking for the speaker not being flush and wouldn't be a satisfied customer if it wasn't. It wasnt flush and i was told that he could not open another box soooooooo basically take it or leave it. I took it and im over it. Love this phone. It is lightning fast and a real looker. Its a nice upgrade coming from an htc incredible 4g LTE which i was very satisfied with for 20 months. I've been trained to get a new phone every two years so it was time.

I have my new M8 since last Thursday and two things I'm unhappy about. First thing is the top speaker plate with the speaker holes are in has lifted slightly where the edge meets the screen just below the front facing camera and stays raised until it got to the right edge. It was sitting up about 1mm or less. I pressed it back down with my finger and it seemed to stay down until today, when it raised slightly again. I think the glue or whatever is holding it down is not strong enough.
Secondly I think the volume button has way too much play in it for my liking. I'm thinking of sending it back to the online shop I bought it from I'm that disappointed.

Sorry for your bad luck. Definitely recommend an exchange if you are unhappy with your purchase. There are always a few broken eggs.
I have the same exact issues. I bought it online as well. After speaking to countless online reps and even calling a few stores, I've come to the conclusion that you can only exchange it in-store rather than online.
I'm going this weekend to hopefully get a perfect one that satisfies my OCD. Will update later.

i was on to Expansys this morning and they said that they would accept the phone back and would organise a courier to pick up and a replacement sent out once received. I'm undecided whether to wait for the Sony Z2 now!

I ordered mine online too - thankfully my build quality is amazing..
One small blemish is where the stripe on the back passes between the cameras just to the left by that mic the color from the stripe seemed to transfer onto the metal a little.
Very minimal and not worth an exchange as the rest of the phone is perfect. No gaps, lifting etc.

I was just thinking about returning the M8 and waiting for the Z2 myself....

For anyone else thinking about the Sony Sprint will not be carrying this phone. They have indicated they don't have a contract with Sony and will not persue one.
