I know I posted this question in one or two of them, but with the splits and moderation . . . . Anyways, is the signal as good on this HTC phone as my last experience with an HTC phone several years ago when I briefly switched to one from a Motorola (known as the king of signal).

This is not about bars or reported dBm, but actually getting a signal in fringe areas that some other phone makers don't, i.e. Samsung and LG.

TIA

I got signal this evening down the street at the local beer distributor and my LTEvo never got service there. The misses Note 2 always did.

Seems everything is all around better with this one. :)

I have noticed that this phone maintains a good signal all around. Have not had any signal drops on WiFi, BT, or while on 3G/LTE. Now that there has been a system update we will see if anything gets messed up lol.

I just wanted to throw out my Wireless AC performance in my condo. I am using an Asus RT-AC68U router with Cox Ultimate 150Mbps/20Mbps service. The Speedtest I am attaching seems to be the average and smokes any other wireless device I can run a Speed Test on. As far as 3g goes I have not lost connectivity anywhere in New Orleans which is a terrible Sprint location right now because they are upgrading all the towers. I have not dropped any calls and my LTE hangs onto signals for longer and seems to get better performance (could be the placebo effect).

sikclown, thank you very much for the report.

On the other hand, know that I hate your face for those speeds, lol. I live outside even a VZW home 3g area.

You are welcome! And I feel your pain. New Orleans was pretty far behind the curve for a very long time.

Sadly, I live in a USCC home area and USCC users get 3g here. Once upon a time when I complained to VZW about it the
effen idiot
CSR suggested I call USCC about it??? Even more sad is I fear the results will be the same when USCC rolls out LTE here. It's available, but VZW doesn't want to pay USCC to share it.

I almost did, but VZW gets more cooler phones and my plan is cheaper (if you can believe it) than if I switched.

RF performance will vary for each and every carrier because of the different frequencies that are sent and received.

I've posted this before somewhere here on AF, but in regards to the Sprint M8 I found this article to be encouraging as it related to the radio performance:
S4GRU.com | Teaser: How does HTC M8 RF performance stack up?

Having had, or tested, all the phones the M8 was being compared to I find the conclusion to be positive as the M8 reportedly appears to have a little better day to day operation than the rest of the line up.
