Root [MetroPCS] IF you wish to block the ota update.. do this..

What method did you use for reroot? I spent all day yesterday trying to get it to reroot and couldn't find a method that worked. Ended up reverting back to the 10i firmware.
 
I'm not sure if this the same issue I'm having, but I kept getting that system update information. I currently have F/W i, but after root and SD Hack installed the system was requesting I install a system update.

If you go to:

- [System settings]

- [Apps]

- scroll right to [ALL]

- scroll down to [Google Services Framework]

- You could disable, but I don't know what that will affect, or you can just uncheck the "Show notifications" The icon at the top went away and I have yet to see the popup again.
 
I installed the APK from the OP and after awhile no notification...the good thing is you can just uninstall and you can update

sadly, the notification does not kill the popup. However, if you disable the service the popup goes away, but google play will not connect
 
Tried the 'Disable Service' app method as suggested by unnamedny, worked without any problems. Uninstalled the app, still works!
