New kernel is running great. Noticeably faster and I'm not having any back button issues.

EDIT: 6 Hours unplugged with moderate use (20 texts, some browsing, messing around) and battery is at 95%

MMM, I notice that BH_MAN has been working on the 2.1 dev today....So, I wonder if he has exhausted his resources on getting the Galaxy\BH2 Hybrid working correctly and decided against it for now. I know he has asked for help, just wondering if there is anymore news about it, He was so excited yesterday to get it to mostly work. I know he said it was in the framework file......Just wondering is all. Also, should we start a new thread about the hybrid, this one is starting to get long and it's suppose to be about BH2 \no twiz....LOL

Man, I am jealous! I have tried all the battery suggestions, and still only get a days worth with moderate use. Guess all I can do is continue to cycle it and hope it improves.

P.S. WARHEADS with GDE ROCKS! Eugene you the MAN!!!!!

I used Warheads with Home++ for few days,my wife dint like it,so I put back advanced launcher,i have to say that home++ really criples droid and my battery stayed the same, only thing it has going for it is the dock that is not fully custimzible,GDE is much better and faster so is Panda

I pushed the new advanced launcher for Warhead, and the preferences option no longer exists. Is this normal?

hi,
first off, big fan of your work. Here is my question. For this version, does the file transfer via bluetooth work? if not, is there even a way or version that it works in?

I have no way of testing it, but I did post a file from a cyanogen build & the reports was it didn't work.

...i lost about 30% overnight with the new kernel, checked the battery usage and i see android system, standby, but no idle, maybe i should do a reset

EDIT: reset did the trick :D. one other thing, how come my alarms icon keep disappearing as if i turned off the alarm? when i checked the alarms, they're still on

  1. Is the A2SD required for the Warhead ROM?
  2. Is SDK for my PC required for ADB?
  3. I installed the new Kernal a day or so ago. Has it been updated since?
  4. I love the Home++ launcher. Is the TWLauncher similiar.
  5. Is HTC really better than Samsung?
BTW, as I am completely new to android, moderately familiar with computers but no programmer by any means, I really appreciate all the help, instructions and advice you guys and gals take time to give. It really is appreciated.

So far, I'm impressed. I reflashed warheads yesterday evening, flashed the kernel, and then put TwLauncher.apk on the phone. I didn't let it drain completely then let it charge up for about an 2 1/2 hrs last night to full. Unplugged it at 1:30am then let it wake me up at 6am only lost 3% between 1:30am and 6am which isn't bad. Moderately used it all day with GPS and Wireless location services on and it is now at 21% at about 2:30pm. So, 13 hrs so far. I'm going to let it drain completely and fully charge while off tonight. I think it will improve over time.

Thanks BH_Man.

  1. No, but I believe it's included
  2. Yes
  3. No it hasn't
  4. Personal preference
  5. Both are good, both can be rooted and fully customized now. HTC has Crynogen as the custom ROM guy and BH2 has BH_Man as the custom ROM guy.

Hello all. Ok, I have followed all the steps to a T. The problem that I am having is with the battery. I seem to remember seeing a fix for this somewhere in the thread but can't find it now. Also, I think part of my problem is the phone is not sleeping. I say this because any button will wake up the phone. Any help is greatly appreciaded.

So far so good, here. Updated from No_Twiz (Pre-Twix) to Warheads this morning, updated the kernel, and so far the battery's fine (75% left, after using SkyFire to watch videos for an hour, GPS and WiFi on). And that's without letting it drain after updating.

The phone appears to be sleeping properly, though I do still need to toggle WiFi off/on or manually reconnect after waking up. Home++ seems to be working fine (no reloading of the app drawer, battery life is, as I said, fine, and sleep works)

The ROM seems quite fast, GPS and the gyro seem to be a bit more "crisp" at this point.

Not sure I actually would need the Hybrid at this point... I'll probably hold on to this one 'til 2.1. (As you can tell by me skipping Twix and Dots, I have no issues with "holding out" ;->)

Here's an update.

My phone has finally died. So, here I used it for 16 hours with moderate use and as you I noted above, I did not completely discharge it before recharging and I got 16 hours of use. Now, I am going to charge it fully and see what kind of day I have tomorrow. I am really impressed.

My wife is jealous because I have Google Navigation and she is still paying for Telenav. I wish I could find a good rom for her Motorola Cliq as solid as this 1.6 no Twiz. Although, I'm thinking about working on a ROM for it if no one else is.

Thanks BH_Man

Assuming there aren't any problems, how long should it take Odin to flash these files? I've been stuck on bootloader for nearly 15 minutes now, and I seem to remember in the past it working in under 5 minutes.

Just flashed warheads and its awesome! Had little trouble with the instructions but figured it out , good job bh man!
