So, who's excited for the Nexus 6?

Rumor has it that the nexus line will be replace with the android silver program.

I see a lot of nexus 6, nexus 8 and even nexus 12 rumours too though, plus from a lot of what I've read on these boards apparently the android rumour mill is pretty unreliable.

At this point we really have no clue who the manufacturer will be. What it will be called - or even if there will be another one.

We have one mention of "nexus 6" in i believe it was the chromium bug tracker, and numerous rumors that the nexus program is ending and being replaced with android silver.

Evleaks tweeted a few days ago that android silver will debut in February, and there will be no nexus 6

We really don't know what to expect at this point. Other than that bug tracker theres been no mention. AP didn't even bother covering it:

I believe well see an 8.9" HTC made tablet at I/O, as well as an android TV (codenames flounder and molly), but the future of the program further than that is hazy ;)

I just wish Google makes something that can semi replace the great Nexus line (Nexus R.I.P.M)

Whether there's a Nexus 6 or not, it's 6ish months away. The Nexus 5 was released in October, so why get excited several months before it's even announced?

I made the thread half in jest and half because from what I've seen the G3 looks really nice and if the next nexus does happen to be based off the G3 it should also be (another) really nice (nexus phone) and I'd be excited about that.

At this point I'm getting more interested in software function and design than hardware specs.

Mobile OS's as a whole have stagnated in my opinion, I just get bored with any phone now.
