Root [ROM][WIP]Party Time JB 3.3

I tried a few other things and they worked. The main stuff that I wanted to change were the battery and clock settings but they don't seem to do anything which sucks but gravity box itself is great.

I just installed this rom last night and a few problem that I've encountered is the google keyboard not working, is that my calendar won't synch and chrome doesn't work. Any known fixes to these?

The only one of these that is verified is Google Keyboard not working, I've had issues with Calendar sync, but it wasn't directly related to the ROM, it's possible it could just be a coincidence that you're having the issue after installing the ROM. To try fixing the calendar syncing issue, go to Settings applications find the calendar storage app, and delete data (this will wipe all local calendar data, so make sure any important events are saved elsewhere before doing this), then see if it will sync your calendar, that is what fixed it for me.

Never had an issue with Chrome on the ROM, so I'm not sure about that one.

And the only fix for the Google keyboard, is to just use a different keyboard. My personal preferences TouchPal X, then you want to disable the Google keyboard.

I tried as you suggested but the calendar still won't sync so I'm not sure what to do about that problem.

I uninstalled chrome then reinstalled it and now it's working and not just closing itself whenever I try to launch it.

As for the keyboard, I froze the google one and went back to using swype. I'll check out touchpal.

Update: I tried rebooting my phone and then clearing the calendar's storage data and this time it worked. Thanks for your help!

I've noticed in unpacking this ROM and changing things about for my choices, some issues in those, I typically have to wipe cache to get them going... :P

I actually no longer have my reverb...I donated it to my buddy because he had no phone so I could continue developing for it, but it would just be a lot more difficult with no reverb to dev with...however, I really enjoy that you are enjoying it =D
 
I made an account just because of this ROM. You sir, have gaven my phone life, purpose, and a REALLY awesome Music Player. +9001, would recommend to everyone who has Reverb.
 
Thank you sooo much for this Vanilla Rom. I am currently on PT 3.2, can someone list the reasons I should upgrade? Ive had no problems with this rom and Im scared to chase the dragon, and get bricked or have issues that Im not having. What was changed in the upgrade? Is the difference worth it?
 
I just wanted to thank you for making a fully functional and very decent ROM.

PT3.2 literally saved my phone. I had flashed the Helado SuperStock ROM onto my phone, which bricked it (by the time I got to it, it was incredibly outdated, I didn't back-up [like a stupid dolt], and didn't check much of anything out before doing it). I was freaking out, thinking I'd need to get a new phone until I did a crap-ton of research and rediscovered sideloading (I haven't flashed anything in a long, long time, and I chalk all of my mistakes in this round up to being very rusty). ADB pushed it to my phone, installed with CWM and voila! my phone is once again fully functional.

Just flashed 3.3 onto my Reverb and I have to say: I am absolutely loving it. I can take pictures using the stock functionality, place them directly into text messages (I think those being the two most unfortunate exclusions from 3.2) and so many other things. Plus, the ability to disable the crappy bloatware apps that I don't use (Google+, GMail, etc) is a huge, huge advantage.

I know that you'd previously mentioned that development of the PartyTime line for Reverbs as ceased as the result of no longer having one, I just want to throw my hat into the ring and offer a belated thank you for all of the time, effort and attentiveness to the community's requests that you put into this absolutely wonderful ROM.

I have changed from ICS to jb rom, and flashed the MiRaGe kernal through CWM.

Also will I be able to just put this over what I already have without deleting the cashes and wiping / formatting and all the like. I ask
this because I've had strange behavior in CWM when trying to restore ICS and want to avoid any further issues.
This is my current setup.

I've been to page 1.
The steps are freaking scattered. So quit replying with bs. Just need steps, like what part first? Do I need to flash all our just a few, and what kind of extra bs do I need to do.

Now on a side note:
I'm in no way calling these works bs, nor the crafter. Just would like a straight shot in this flashing.

So some clarifying would be appropriate.
Mainly there is no instruction for part 3.2, and is everything working correctly in 3.3 such as the camera and msg?
Tyvm for any real assistance.

So I did the flash and its running good, now im just wondering how to restore the stock browser?
Any help would be much appreciated.
 
It's been a while since I had that phone, but if I remember correctly he just replaced stock w/ Chrome, is that right? And I don't remember if there was a good way of getting stock back. I would just recommend using Chrome, stock isn't very good anyways. Or there are a few good "lite" browsers to keep free space.
 
I tried most browsers out there, and none seem to run as well or save my Web pages like it does. They end up being just text / html's or partial pages. I use a lot of tutorial's and such, and do not have home Internet as I live 200 miles from any actual city limits. Sat. Internet is just to expensive. So I have to be able to save lot's of pages.
Also playstore closes on its own, and more freeze's.

I love the Rom, its sick. I wish I knew how to clean it up though.

I will get you the stock browser . i think i have a copy of the stock rom on my computer. Give me a few hours gotta dig into my computer. I havent used anything from the reverb in a year or so.
 
If u were wondering these are all files safe to remove. Make a buckup before you do anything. If it sticks at boot screen wipe delvic cache if thats a no go factory reset.
