Help Verizon Moto G battery

I heard around the net that the Verizon moto g's battery holds less of a charge than unlocked ones. Can someone confirm this?

I'm skeptical you're going to find someone with the same usage using both. It's very much up to the user, how strong their signal is, whether it's wifi/3G, etc.
If it's "holding" less of a charge, than it's a hardware issue and should be returned and replaced.

I honestly can't fully comment on mine since it's a) a GSM model and b) not my main phone. But, I will say for the few days I did use it on T-Mo, I found battery life to be great and it's a sentiment you'll see shared around here.

No complaints. Here. Mines is CDMA. Not Verizon though

These are just varying examples of my battery life. I don't charge me phone overnight so a few of these might be from me waking up.

Yeah I'd say so. I normally get off work at 9, charge it until around 11 at 100%. Use it until about 2am and go to bed around 80 something % on Wi-Fi. The numbers do say idle is included but also screen time and idle time. If I took the time to take the screenshots it would be because I was impressed. I've seen phone idle alone take 15% off a battery on other phones just sitting there overnight. I've still got my rooted galaxy s3 that I use for music and a spare alarm when my phone is on the charger and 2 weeks ago the battery went from 40% to 8% in a hour just from me snoozing it

Thanks lots, that really helped me. ^_^

CDMA radios tend to eat up more power than gsm. That's why spec sheets will list a different battery time. But again usage varies greatly.

I figured I'd post this one too. This is today. You'll notice this is with use. No idle time. And my cheap job doesn't have Wi-Fi. I've been on 3G since i left home. I've been using it a lot since 1130 when I left the house at 100%. It's 5:54 right now. I think this is impressive

Okay so here's my results for today.

I left for school at 6:20 with 100%. I left my phone idle till about 8:00. For about an hour and 20 min I listened to music and surfed YouTube for a bit. After that I left the phone on idle till about 1:30. I then played a 3D game while listening to music, and watched YouTube till about 2:50. Again I left the phone on idle till I got home at 3:30. The whole day I was connected to Wi-Fi and had sync on. The thing that worried me at first was the fact that it drains in idle at about the same rate as my old phone, but when I actually use it I can get a lot more out of it than my old one. But the battery specs on certain websites are kinda misleading. When I got this phone I was thinking I could watch movies all day without the battery losing more than 30%. My friend has the same phone and he gets better battery life but he also uses his less than me. I kinda overreacted at first but now I know its normal. Like timmy and breadnatty said: it depends on usage.

That's a nice amount for as much use as you had. I only watch you tube at home on with. I mostly surf the web, use various news apps like flipboard, Google news, android central and read books on Google play books on mines. Besides calls and texts. Work doesn't let me use mine too much during the day
