Help Link2SD+ format question

Murf1

Android Enthusiast
I have the free version of Link2SD right now and my 2nd partition is FAT. The Link2SD+ wants the 2nd partition to be ext2, ext3, or ext4 in order to move data to it.

Which one should I choose and what is the difference?

After I format it to ext_, Windows will not longer see it right?

thanks,

Let's start with the difference to answer your questions. Ext2, 3 and 4 are updates of each other. This means ext4 would be the best choice. Ext4 is more efficient which translates to faster access, less lag. As a matter of fact the OS (system, data, cache) use the ext4 file system. If for some odd reason you have problems with ext4 then use ext2. The answer to the windows question is no, but you can see it using your phones file manger. It's found at "/data/sdext2/" on your device. Good Luck. :)
