Help Kitkat update

Hello,

I own the 2013 galaxy note 10.1 gt-n8000 running android 4.1.2. I have received the OTA update for kitkat. The problem is after downloading the 800 mb update, I just get a "download failed" error even though the download has finished. I have tried to download the update again and I get the same result after completing the download.
Is there any fix for this?

I've never managed to get Kies to work but have you tried that to upgrade your device?

Also, where are you? I didn't think KitKat was being rolled out yet.
 
It is rolling out here in Europe, waiting them to get the nordic version out too :p

Hey.. I have a German Note 10.1 and Samsung has rolled out Kitkat for the German version. I checked on Kies and I have the update but I hate updating using kies. Is there a way to solve the OTA issue? thanks
