Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Unable to send MMS Messages

NetSpeedZ

Unable to send MMS messages either through stock or any third party messaging app.

Tried to confirm the APN settings, however, on the F3, editing/adding APN's is not an option.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can you view the APN? If so, is it correct? (If you can't, bring the phone to VM and ask them what's up with it.)

I have experienced this too. I'm also unable to receive MMS - through the stock messaging app or through Hangouts - and it seems like my failure to receive causes other devices to auto retry, as I get the 'Failed to deliver MMS' at the same time every 12 hours for EACH MMS people have tried to send.
I know this doesn't help, but I suppose the message here is it could be worse. Piles of useless notifications every day... ugh.

Through a little research, trial and error I've discovered that the problem lies with 4G on the Sprint network.

I installed the 'Network' app from Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mangelow.network) and set the Network Mode to CDMA before sending an MMS message and then switch it back to LTE/CDMA for normal operation.

Kind of a long way around fix but it works until Sprint/Virgin Mobile get this problem fixed on their end.

FYI, I'm currently working with a Sprint Regulatory Services Representative trying to determine if/when this problem will be fixed.

This works for me, but instead of downloading the app you can just go into settings and then mobile networks.

Yep, could do that - too many 'presses' for me. With the Network app, two presses of the screen and its switched.
