any good camera app for android?

I like Camera FV-5 if you want a free one. I think there's a paid one that has a lot more DSLR features, but I'm not that much of a photographer any more, so FV-5 is good enough for me.

Google Camera

A bit simple but I usually get impressive casual shots and of course it has the mind blowing Photosphere so its worth having as a second camera just for photosphere, panorama and background blur (which i still haven't mastered) 💩

That only runs under 4.4+, doesn't it? (I'm still not convinced to give up multiple ROM slots and fully free [as far as writing] SD cards.)

Hi camlife,

Unfortunately, you can't really make up for mediocre optics with fancy software tricks. That said, you can gain some added functionality with the apps that have been suggested. For my camera phone needs, the Google Camera does perfectly adequate work - I just know not to expect DSLR-quality results.

Yeah, it is 4.4+ only. And MultiROM works great for managing/booting multiple ROMs on my N4, but that does appear to be a Nexus-only thing. :(
